CHAPTER 5 The CIRCLE

　　Nellie exhaled heavily and fell into the crowd leaving the auditorium. There was a student meeting, I didn't understand what it was all about, but I was lucky to be part of it. What made me happy was that I managed to get rid of Daron he had his football game to play; hence I attended the first class without seeing him

　　Later in the same class, I met a girl named Ashlyn. A beautiful outspoken girl who happened to have been absent for some days

　　"You know our school is the best… from the hot men to the grumpy teachers… we can be friends 'Ashlyn said, gripping my hand tightly. I didn't protest. She was so tough that Angela was beginning to feel uncomfortable

　　“That's very nice,” I said, clearing my throat and slowly wiggling out of her hold. Soon we reached the cafeteria. I came to like the food very much, it was better and well cooked than the food we used to eat at the public school I attended back home… We took a seat after getting our tray of food and sat far from the pink-haired girl

　　Apparently, after our first encounter, the girl didn't like me very much

　　“So everyone has been talking… how the hell did you manage to get Daron to agree to be your group partner” again the girl said grinning at me. I saw how Charlotte was gawking at me.

　　“Whatever it is… I have no concern for it” I said and concentrated more on eating. I heard Ashlyn scoff. Before I could answer someone joined us at our table

　　looking up it was Daron and two more boys

　　“Hey cutie… missed me,” he said and dragged my tray to him. I was left hanging when he started sharing the same food as me

　　“Can you not do this… at least not to our new student? “Ashlyn said and dragged my tray back, both didn't want to let go

　　“Hey, Ash… did your boyfriend dumb you… oh wait… He did he-he” Daron said in between chuckles and I saw how Ashlyn's expression morphed into a dark one

　　“Stupid jerk” Ashlyn spat out and omitted the table. The two boys standing behind daron like bodyguards laughed and left us. I didn't know what to do when the boy was sitting with me

　　“So… did you enjoy hiding, huh,” Daron said and continued eating my food. Of course, I was running away from him. He was about to get me exposed

　　“Don't follow me” I said and rose to my feet. I would rather not say anything to him; hence I hurried out of the cafeteria hoping to find Ashlyn. However, when I reached the Janitor's store room

　　“Come here sweetie” someone grabbed me by the arm and shoved me inside the room and shut the door. My heart was racing as I tried to keep calm

　　“Shh, now you can tell me which pack you are from and who is your alpha… what are you doing in our town?” Daron asked and moved away. Only then did I get a breather. The room was small and full of cleaning equipment. The only light came from the small window

　　“I don't know what you are talking about, “I said and prepared to get out when he used insane speed to block my way. Startled I stepped backward knowing full well his speed was formidable…no ordinary human had such speed except for

　　“I'm a Werewolf too… so tell me… who are you?” Daron said, leaning down to my face. For the first time, I was scared. Well, not the first time. But his gaze was serious and somehow frightening

　　“I'm just a human… you must be insane… werewolves don't exist”I said averting my eyes from him

　　How was I to tell a total stranger, that to a Werewolf, that I was a Werewolf too? That wasn't it because I was a rogue with no pack

　　“Tell me, little girl… you can get into trouble…there are many Weres around here… your scent is something you can't hide with french perfume”Daron remarked, making me even more scared. I turned around and looked at him. Angela wasn't saying anything when I needed her the most

　　“Look here pretty boy… let's just say… ignore me like the plagues… I'm not special… I promise to stay out of your business if you stay out of mine” saying that, I pushed him out of the way, grabbed the doorknob, pulled the door open, and stormed out with lightning speed. I didn't even look back, knowing this was happening again.

　　Immediately after Helena arrived back home, she stormed upstairs to her room. Something was not right,

　　“Sweetie… are you back yet!” she heard her father calling her. Helena ran her hands in her hair and nodded.

　　“Yes, Dad… I'll be down in a minute!” she shouted and shoved the suitcase back in the closet

　　“Stop running and fix this… running won't solve a thing” it was Angela who said in a sleepy voice, I was wondering why an active Angela was always sleeping since we came here

　　“He's a Were damn it… what if… what is he belongs to the CIRCLE”Helena was agitated, the last thing she needed was a hunter from the CIRCLE.

　　“Stop worrying… maybe he's our mate…he-he did you see those eyes… he's pretty, “Angela said with giggles,

　　“Are you insane…does this look like a joke to you” if I had the power to pull her out of my body then Angela would be in the streets. We had no time to look at boys. We slept with our eyes open. Angela was my wolf. It was weird, but we talked. She was the only best friend I've ever had since I was young

　　“Quit it… we need to run…” I said and shoved clothes in my backpack. Dad was innocent, I would rather not drag him down with me. For a human, he endured it all but not any more

　　“But, where are we going… it's getting late… What if we encounter bad wolves”Angela whined, unfortunately, I was too busy packing to mind her. Running away to the nearest train station was a good idea. If Daron was a werewolf. It was likely they were plenty other, what if he knew the CIRCLE?
