In Bathalde, somewhere on the kingdom of Therian, a place known as the hundred nisos. There, a hundred island scattered all over, separated by wide revers and lakes.
The place was known as inhabitable to humans, for many poisonous plants and dangerous untaimable Chandeul dwells the premises.
However, within the entire hundred nisos, a sole island invisible to humans exist. Guarded by a powerful encantation and magic, the island holds a formidable abode.
An abode ruled by the only human of the island, Rasel. Dasel was a girl raised by brilliant chandeuls.
Dasel's POV
After an intense sword match with Renal, a giant cricket chandeul. I rushed to take a dip by the Lavander spring room and changed into my most casual clothes.
Lera, the high mistress, also a chandeul, promised me that today, she will let me wander beyond the island and over the hundred nisos. Even though I grew up with Chandeuls as maids and butlers, I am very knowledgeable of the outside word from books and literally pieces displayed all over the Abode's library.
I read about islands, ocean, villages, kingdoms, clothes, tradition and especially pastries and cusine all over Bathalde.
As I stepped outside of the Abode, my maids and butlers gather side to side to greet me a wonderful adventure. Giving that this is my first time wandering, and alone at that, I was nervous and excited all together.
"My lady, remember to only wander at the hundred nisos and return before sundown." Lera said, handing me a few equipments I needed for my adventure.
The have only allowed me for 8 hours, and that is good enough for me. My entire life, different forms of chandeul sorround and bond with me, however, I have never actually meet a real human like me.
I am also aware that humans outside also posseses magical abilities like I do, and it is mostly the measure of societal status to them.
I smiled and lera and of all of my friends.
"I'll be back before sunrise, I promise" I said with greate pride.
Lera handed me a jade bracelet. "If you wish to comeback, just feel the this jades magic and wish for your return back here. If after sunrise and you have not yet returned, Garel will fetch you and bring you back here."
I nodded.
I prepared myself for the adventure. I stepped out of the islands water boarder through a giant flying lilypad leaf.
The moment I felt the outside ebreese, something in me awoken. The happiness and freedom I feel is beyond comparable to anything I have felt before.
I glide through the waters and exited trough different little islands. I talked to different Chandeuls and plucked many poisonous plant for my expirement.
I felt so free that I almost forgot about my time limit. I saw the sun almost setting, but it was till early...maybe about 30 minutes.
I took the remaining time to wander on a strange island. The place was different from the rest of hundred nisos, the ambience was lighter, I see not less than 3 cah deul and minimal poisonous plants, which is odd.
I saw an injured Flying Beast. I rushed to its side and noticed that one of it's wings was pieced by an arrow. Out if panic, I instinctively pulled the arrow and the beast rattled.
I was about to use healing magic when a voice spoke.
"What are you doing?" it was a man.
I turned around to see A MAN!!
A REAL LIVING, STANDING, WALKING, AND TAKING MAN!!
I looked at him and smiled.
He was confused for a second and spoke again.
"What are you doing here?" He asked again.
I blinked. "What are you doing here?" I said.
"I asked you first, little lady." He said.
I pouted. I was about to respond when we kneeled at the Flying beasts and slit it's throat. I was stunned. As I did, I pushed him away.
"What did you just do?" My voice frantic. "This poor creature...how could you kill it like that?" now I'm raising my voice.
He looked at me with his tender eyes and spoke. "The arrow was covered in poison,
it has already spread through his body and sooner he'll feel his organs and system losing control and rotten. The best way to end its suffering is by killing it." he gently said, as if he knew I'd snap if he pick a nerve.
I calmed down a little.
"It's an arrow...you? did you shot it?" I asked, down.
"I don't use arrows or bows. I use daggers. And besides, I'm a Warrior. I ought to protect all living things." he said with pride.
I tilt my head. "But you look like your only fifteen years old, how could you be a warrior?"
He chuckled. "Being a warrior has no age limit. if your heart knows it's a warrior, then you are a warrior."
I was about to speak when he grabbed my hand. "Your hand is poisoned!" he frantically said and wrapped a cloth around it–more like a handkerchief.
He held my arms and pulled me. "Let's go to the Village nearby, they must've had something to treat your wound." he offered.
I was more than happy to follow him but I noticed the sky turning orange, indicating that the sun is setting.
I pulled my hands away. "I'm alright." I smiled at him. I handed him my Lily pad leaf. "Use this to safely travel back to the village you mentioned. It's dangerous out here at night."
I waved my hands at him and ran back towards the trees. I heard him shouting something at me but I just kept on running deeper. I hid behind a tall three and looked at the jade bracelet in my wrist.
"I wish to return back home." in less than a second, I was already standing near the kitchen of our abode.
I sighed in relief and looked at the handkerchief the little man covered on my hands. I chuckled and took it off.
I clenched my hand gently, and after a few seconds, the wounds from the poison were already gone. All of it.
I ran to my room and put the handkerchief in my bed. I noticed it has some strange but beautiful flower-like embroidery that resembles a phoenix.
I recalled the little boy I met at the hundred nisos...he was actually pretty cute.
