Chapter 2

6 years later. I am now used to travelling over and beyond the hundred nisos. I have already traveled through the capital of Therian and through the giant and small cities to villages around the kingdom. I have experienced dressing up as a beggar to wander around the Frenlang city at night, the capital of Therian. I have also experienced dressing up as a palace maid to enter the palace of Therian. I experienced playing with the swans in the lake and scaring off cats and wild beasts that tried to enter the palace. It was more fun than the word fun itself. I was walking around the maids quarters when I heard the maids gossiping. I leaned in to listen. It turns out, the palace of Athdos, the wealthiest and most powerful kingdom in all of Bathalde, is allowing talented and skilled fighter to train on their land. It was a great blessing for those who seek advance and better knowledge at fighting to suppress the Dromians. Dromians are the dark and powerful creatures created from the fragment of the Evil Drakkon. Features dark, magic even darker. They've been invading the Kingdoms of Bathalde for more than a century, and now they seem to be even stronger than before. After a few gossip and hearsays around the corner, I decided to return back to the Abode. I looked around for Lera only to see her in the garden, trimming the bushes. I was about to speak when she raised her right hand. "I know." she spoke. "I haven't even said anything yet." "The recruiting of trainees from Athdos?" she asked. I sighed and sat on the tree bench nearby. "Can I? I wanna go to places all over Bathalde. Therian sure is...awesome...but..I want to....can I?" I gave her my puppy eyes. She sighed and ran her hands on my hair. "My lady, you are already of age to decide of what things you wish for or what you sought for in your life. If you truly wish to, no one on this island can stop you, my lady." She looked at me, proud, and allowing. Lera has been my mother figure all my life. Words from her are wisdom for me. I smiled and hugged her. "Thank you, Lera. I swear, I'll return once I'm done with the training." I squealed and hugged her even more. "I'm so excited!". "My lady...I can't breathe." she coughed slightly and I let go of her with an apologitic smile. The entire adobe prepared for my long-term departure. Some of my friends were even crying as if I am permanently leaving. The thought of partaking in a training camp for fights excites me. Imagining all the skills I could learn, and all the people I could bond with. Today was finally the day of my leave. Lera gave me an infinity ring that holds infinite storage capacity for all the things I need–and of course, they were already inside the ring. Some we're crying and I was almost crying too. They bid me farewell and cautions for my journey. As I hop into my flying magic beast, Ranette. I carried anticipation and curiosity in me. Renette is a male Forton, a dragon-like horse that's two times the size of an average human. He possesses wind magic, thus, allowing him to fly and glide with the winds. We left the island and traveled across and beyond the hundred nisos. I have to cross two kingdoms to get to Athdos, the Encante and Danson kingdom. We traveled and stopped between places and places from the two kingdoms. It was a little difficult to communicate with the people especially because they seemed to be aloof to foreign visitors. Oftentimes, the best inn to sleep in is at the woods under Renette's fluffy wings. After what seems like two weeks of traveling, I arrived at the border of Athdos. This place is indeed the wealthiest kingdom; The guards were wearing obsedian and silver armors. The place is packed. I noticed that people were required to fall into the line to an entry arch to and consecutively enter, and each person is taking a long time to inspect. The guards Inspect the baggage and carriage of each passers. I noticed an entry arch that has a different design. The passers were not inspected or guarded, they just freely pass one by one. I walked closer to their lane, but before I could move more than three steps, a hand pulled my arm. It was a girl around my age. She has blue ocean eyes, and green hair. She smiled at me and spoke in a sweet tone. "Friend, only commoners of the kingdom are allowed to pass in that lane. It's your first time here, right?" I nod. She smiled happily and linked her arms in mine. "Let's go together. Is that Magical beast yours?" she pointed at Renette. I nod. "Oh my god! it's so cute...and it can fly too. I'm Kana by the way." she offered her hands to me. I shake it and smiled at her. As the line slowly pushed us closer to the arch, I noticed Kana always glancing at me from time to time, and will eventually look away if I cought her. Weird. "You know what! can I ask you something?" She said. I nod. "you're here for the training, right?" I nod. She squealed and hugged me. "Oh my! me too...yeayy...Let's be best friends and roommate." she excitedly said. I smiled as well, just as excited as she probably is. "So what are you? an archer? combat fighter? Sword? and anything else? mage?" I excitedly asked. She looked at me and chuckled. Huh? "I thought you're the nonchalant an dcold type. Turns out were the same...Friendly and fun! And yes, I'm an archer...you?" she looked at me with twi kling eyes. Why did I even ask that question? I don't even know what my expertise is...The Chandeuls on the island just teach me anything they want. I can't even refuse because that's all that entertains me...on the island. "I'm...ah...mage? yes...I'm a mage." I said proudly. She smiled and pulled me closer. "Let's be best friends..and roommates...This is gonna be fun!" she squeled again and I did too. We squealed together 'till a voice behind us spoke. "Quite ladies, I know my looks are superb. No need to praise me head to head." Confident, sure, and cocky. That's the tone of his voice.
