My Dream Mafia Husband
CHAPTER 1:Cleaning Up
Sabrina "Noel" Thompson pushed her cart filled with cleaning supplies through the sleek, modern halls of Blackwood Enterprises. She had worked as a cleaner at the company for three years, and she knew every nook and cranny of the building.
As she made her way to the executive floor, Noel's mind began to wander. She loved to read romance novels, especially ones about mafia bosses. There was something about the strong, brooding heroes that drew her in. She had devoured dozens of books featuring tattooed, gun-toting alpha males, and she couldn't get enough.
Noel's favorite author, Scarlett Rose, had just released a new book, and Noel had stayed up late into the night reading it. The hero, Julian, was a ruthless mafia boss with a heart of gold. Noel had fallen deeply in love with him, and she couldn't wait to see what other adventures Scarlett Rose had in store for her readers.
As Noel entered the executive suite, she was jolted back to reality. The spacious office was dimly lit, with only a few lamps illuminating the luxurious furnishings. Noel's eyes adjusted slowly, and she made out the figure of a man standing by the window, staring out at the city skyline.
Noel's heart skipped a beat as she realized who the man was. Jason Blackwood, the CEO of Blackwood Enterprises, was a man of mystery and power. Noel had seen him only a handful of times, but she had heard the whispers about his ruthless business tactics and his alleged ties to the mafia.
As Noel began to clean the office, she couldn't help but steal glances at Jason. He was even more handsome than she had remembered, with piercing blue eyes and chiseled features. Noel felt a flutter in her chest as she wondered what it would be like to meet a man like Julian, the hero of her favorite novel.
Little did she know, her life was about to take a dramatic turn, one that would bring her face-to-face with the dark and dangerous world of the mafia.
As Noel vacuumed the floor, she couldn't help but sneak glances at Jason. He seemed lost in thought, his eyes fixed on some point outside the window. Noel wondered what he was thinking about. Was he plotting his next business move, or was he haunted by the secrets of his past?
Just as Noel was starting to feel like she was intruding on Jason's private thoughts, he turned around and caught her staring. Noel's face flushed with embarrassment as Jason raised an eyebrow.
"Can I help you with something?" he asked, his deep voice sending a shiver down Noel's spine.
Noel quickly looked away, fumbling for an excuse. "I was just... uh... making sure the floor was clean Sir," she stuttered.
Jason's gaze lingered on her for a moment before he nodded and turned back to the window. Noel let out a sigh of relief, feeling like she had just dodged a bullet.
As she finished cleaning the office, Noel couldn't shake the feeling that Jason had seen right through her. She had always thought of herself as a fairly invisible person, just a quiet cleaner who kept to herself. But Jason's piercing gaze had made her feel like she was standing naked in front of him.
Noel shivered at the thought, quickly gathering her cleaning supplies and making a hasty exit from the office. She couldn't wait to get back to the safety of her own little world, where the only drama was the kind she read about in her romance novel.
As Noel stepped out of the office, she couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over her. She had been working at Blackwood Enterprises for two years, and she had never had a run-in with Jason before. She hoped it wouldn't happen again anytime soon.
Noel made her way back to the janitor's closet, her mind wandering back to her favorite novel. She had always been a romantic at heart, and she loved getting lost in the world of mafia romance. There was something about the strong, alpha males that drew her in.
Just as Noel was starting to get lost in her daydreams, she heard a voice behind her.
"Hey, Noel."
Noel turned to see her coworker, Vanessa, standing in the doorway of the janitor's closet.
"Hey, Nessa," Rory replied, trying to sound casual. "What's up?"
Vanessa leaned against the doorframe, a sly grin spreading across her face.
"I heard you had a run-in with Jason Blackwood," Vanessa said, her voice dripping with excitement.
Noel's face flushed with embarrassment as she realized that the news of her encounter with Jason had already spread.
" Wait how did you know ,I swear they're alot of gossips working here ,anywaaays
It was no big deal,"Rory said, trying to downplay the situation. "I was just cleaning his office, and he caught me staring at him."
Vanessa's grin grew wider.
"So? What's he like ," Rachel said teasingly chuckling. "Did you loose your breath when you saw him? ."
Noel rolled her eyes, laughing.
"Shut up, Nessa ," she said, playfully pushing her coworker out of the way.
