Third Person’s POV
Knight-Stalkers Pack is a unique but special pack because all the pack members possess many qualities. The members are born with special powers through which they can stalk any human or supernatural creature without letting one know about their existence. They also possess a special quality: it is not necessary that the person who is a member of the Knight-Stalkers Pack should be born at their place. He can be born at any place or pack, but with time, he becomes aware of his existence and species and joins the pack himself.
That is one of the reasons that the Knight-Stalkers Pack has half of the population a usual pack could have, but they are four times more powerful when it comes to strength. That’s why they rarely lose any battle, and many packs are afraid to start any dispute with them.
The Alpha and his family have many other qualities that they don’t share with anyone, and they use them in their own way. Talking to their wolf like another human is something that makes them unique.
But for the last few months, the pack has been facing a problem with rogue attacks, which were not direct, but they were meant for them, so the matter became more serious. When Hunter was at his friend’s pack, his own pack was attacked directly, and he knew this was serious, so he came back to take charge. But the worst mistake Hunter made was giving the charge of the rogue attack to his wolf.
He didn’t know his wolf yet. He was still getting to know him. So, let’s see how his wolf would help him or make him regret his decision.
Alpha Hunter was wearing casual clothes and stepping down the stairs effortlessly, but his posture and his moves were telling a different story. He was serious but intimidating.
He was walking with confidence, but the dominance was higher than usual.
He was hearing everyone with his wolf hearing, but his eyes were telling a different story.
He reached the packhouse meeting room, where his Beta, Leo, was waiting for him. Without hearing a word, Lucifer sensed something but remained quiet and let Leo speak first. Looking at the door of the meeting room, Leo said, “Alpha, everyone is in the meeting room.”
Hunter stopped in his tracks and turned to his Beta, who was sweating, and asked, “Why are you sweating like a pig?”
Leo sensed the presence of Lucifer and backed away because he knew Lucifer and Hunter were like the shores of the sea, and Lucifer was much more than a normal wolf.
Lucifer took two steps closer to Leo and asked, “What are you hiding from me?”
“Nothing, Alpha,” he replied, stuttering. Lucifer sniffed Leo and murmured seriously, “I can smell a lie from your words, Leo.”
Leo was about to reply, but Lucifer showed him his palm and said, “But you are not my concern at this time. Let’s go and see what is happening inside.”
Lucifer went inside the meeting room, leaving the shocked Leo alone. He heard him whisper, “Lucifer?”
“Why the hell did Alpha give charge of this situation to Lucifer?” he thought in his mind and prayed, “Moon Goddess, please help us this time.”

Leo’s POV
As soon as Alpha and I entered the meeting room, our ten most trusted men, who had been sitting earlier, stood and bowed their heads in respect. Jenny was standing near Alpha Lucifer’s chair.
Alpha took his seat, followed by others, leaving Jenny and me standing behind him. They started telling the whole story to the Alpha.
Since Lucifer was in charge of the situation, there was no chance any lie could be hidden, and Lucifer started cross-questioning his men. One by one, everyone became confused. They were still not aware of Lucifer’s presence because of the special power he held.
While cross-examining, one of the men started getting confused and frustrated. Unknowingly, he raised his voice to make his point clear, and the next moment, we heard a thud sound and found Alpha standing on his feet.
He slapped the table with his hand, making every single thing move from its place, and asked the man, “Shut up.”
Lucifer held the man’s neck and changed his eye color to his real ones so that everyone could recognize his presence. He asked dangerously, “Where are your manners in front of your Alpha, or do you want me to break your neck?”
Everybody was trembling with fear. The last time Lucifer took charge, we lost one of our men who had spilled juice on Alpha. We did not want that to happen this time, so I interfered, “Alpha.”
“Come to the point,” he ordered, holding the man’s neck and stopping his air supply.
Another man spoke, “Alpha, we caught a rogue, and we tried all the methods to get information out of her, but—”
Suddenly, the first man, who was in Lucifer’s hold, was on the floor, and Lucifer asked, “Her?”
“They caught a rogue girl, Alpha,” Jenny told him.
Lucifer turned to Jenny with anger. “What?”
“Where is she?” he asked.
I replied, “At the basement.”
With that, Alpha started walking toward the basement, leaving everyone behind, but Jenny and I followed him.
“Alpha?” I tried to stop him, followed by Jenny. “Alpha?”
But Alpha didn’t stop, and I told her, “Let’s go, Jenny.”
We were running to keep pace with Alpha when I heard Jenny say, “Alpha will kill us today.”
I glared at her and opened a mind link to her, saying, “Keep quiet. Lucifer is in control now, and it’s going to be way too dangerous.”
“What?” she looked at me with wide eyes, and then we followed him without another word.

Third Person’s POV
As soon as Lucifer heard that his men had caught a girl, his mind took him to only one thing, and that was his mate.
Yes, Lucifer was obsessed with his mate, and unlike Hunter, he had no problem accepting her. That’s why Hunter rarely allowed him to come out. Since the first time he smelled his mate ten years ago, he had been getting worse with every second.
Lucifer was going toward the basement like someone had put his ass on fire when he heard Hunter in his mind, “Lucifer, stop this madness.”
“She could be our mate, Hunter,” he replied, seeing the door to the stairs that led to the basement.
He heard Hunter say, “No, she isn’t.”
“We didn’t smell anything,” Hunter tried to make him understand, but Lucifer interrupted him. “Let me handle this my own way.”
“You are going to regret this, Lucifer,” Hunter warned.
Lucifer touched the basement door and replied, “I love to take risks, Alpha Hunter.”
With that, he blocked Hunter since he didn’t want him to stop him and opened the door.
