I wake up after a sudden sting in my chest. The room is empty and Wren is not here. Where could she have gone this early in the morning?
I get up and check the bathroom. There is some evidence that she was there at some point but not anymore. Maybe Alistair took her for practice again. I think silently. Why did I not hear a thing though? It's like someone sleep-sprayed me. I haven't slept like this in a long time.
Something doesn't feel right. I turn and decide to go after her, wherever she is.
Just as I'm about to open the door, I hear whispers. At first, I think it is Wren but I can't pick up her scent anywhere around. Instead It's much more familiar which makes me furrow my brows. I open the door slowly and step out.
