My mind wanders off as I sit down beside the couch watching my father. I'm not sure I'm convinced that everything is fine even after talking to Wren. It's weird. I have not felt that off in all the years I have been a werewolf. I might have talked to her but something still feels off.
He groans and opens his eyes. I turn back to him snapping out of my wandering thoughts. He explores the room blinking slowly until he turns to me. His eyes cloud with anger within seconds. I don't regret hitting him and I will do it again if he speaks about Wren like that again. I didn't even know I could overpower him so easily until I did.
He tries to get up but from the expression on his face shows pain. He uses a hand to support his side and I wonder if he has a broken or injured rib.
