I watch as Roman storms out of the room. He is furious and I'm sure half of it is because of me. I'm not even sure what I wanted to tell him. I tried to but the words wouldn't roll out of my tongue.
I feel a pain in my chest. A hardness I can't control rises up and gets stuck in my throat making me choke. Tears spring to my eyes without a warning. I haven't felt this much attached to someone like I feel attached to Roman. I try to hide the effect that exchange has on me but fail. I sigh heavily and a sudden sob escapes.
