I recognize Sage's voice even before I turn and I do, she wraps an arm around my shoulders. She is beaming with excitement despite being too early in the morning and we haven't even had breakfast yet. However, what surprises me more is the fact that she is back and I didn't know.
"Sage! When did you get back?" I ask forgetting about the long cafeteria line that for some reason doesn't seem to be moving.

"And you didn't tell me?" I punch her hard on her arm feigning anger.
"Ow!" she complains and shoves me aside. "I would have but you were busy with your boyfriend so I figured it was best to leave you alone than risk a potential injury after walking in on... whatever scene that was ongoing."
