Chapter Four: LocksThere are no locks in any of the rooms, she learns quickly enough. There's no privacy at all at the School. They assure her that it's for her own good, so that they can check in on her whenever necessary to make sure she's alright, but they will leave if she tells them to, something that was made quite clear to her on her first night here.
It is peculiar that the lack of locks is able to make her feel so trapped. It is, perhaps, the lack of privacy, not that she has had much of that back home either.
The doctor stays true to his word. They leave her alone for the most part, giving her time to explore her new room, her new home, though it's clear that everyone keeps an eye on her whenever she's near and she only needs to ask in order to get not just answer, but anything
