6. TAKE HIM DOWN

"So you know what we all have gathered here for. You people are gonna take the case of Vihaan Sinha and report it. I want all of y'all to do your best. I want all of you to take that b**tard down." The director announces.
They all are assembled in the director's conference hall. All their team members, the editors, the anchors, the journalists etc.
"What? Take him down?" One of them asks.
"Yes. You will report as per I say." The director answers.
"Why sir?" One of the editors asks.
"There's no why and how! Do you understand, i***t?" What's gotten to him, why is he suddenly cursing his employees. Is he fine, everyone thinks.
"But sir, our news channel will be reported if we post malicious comments against Mr. Vihaan." One of them said.
Meanwhile, Meghna was not understanding a thing. Why should we behave as if we are enemies of him? And why is Director sir behaving this way? All start to chitter-chatter. Meghna and Sakshi start asking questions to each other.
"Sorry sir, but if you are not going to tell us anything then we won't be able to help you in this. You have to tell us what's the matter, otherwise we are not ready for this." One of the anchors says.
"Yes sir, We all are one in this decision. Please tell us why you are telling us to give a false accusation against Mr. Vihaan."
"Yes sir, we want answers."
There is chaos.
All start to raise questions against the director. It's Pretty obvious that not a single person will be ready to take such a risk. Meghna and Sakshi are in bewilderment.
Upon hearing such remarks from the colleagues and their employees, the director decides to tell the reason for doing so.
"Okay fine, I'll tell you all why am I doing this and why am I telling you to help me in this. Listen, everyone, I need all your support as this is the best opportunity to bring this man down. This man has the most pride and ego and is mannerless. He doesn't know how to behave in places and is extremely arrogant." Director starts.
"But sir, Even if he is arrogant and does not behave properly, what we have got to do with that. It doesn't concern us in any manner. So why?" Asks the CEO.
"Because 2 years back this man had done some ridiculous things with our company. And no matter what happens I can't forgive him for that. I want to make him pay for his sins. I want him to go to jail even if he has not committed any murder. And even if he has not committed any murder, but still there are thousands of people who are trying to exact revenge from him." Says the director.
"But what exactly had happened 2 years ago?" They expect answers.
"This is not the first time that he is committing a sin. Years ago, one of our reporters was badly assaulted and was passed sexist comments on. He was the one who tried to cover that thing and tried to show that there's nothing. He didn't stop there, he continued to go to her house and force himself upon her trying to rape her." He explains.
"What?" All are shocked.
"How do we not know about this?" The employees ask.
"Because this matter was pressed and was not let out by us higher authorities." He answers.
"Yes. But we were lucky that the chairperson and his friends in the market helped us grow from the situation. Glad that today we are one of the most successful channels in the entire country. Look, I don't know and I don't care that if he has committed a murder or not but I know just one thing that this man should not be left to go. That girl still has the fright of him and she left the job. She was brutally given warnings by sending letters and phone calls. She has not returned since then and still doesn't know where she is now. So who all will help me for the sake of making our country a country free of such jerks?" He asks.
There's again chitter-chatter in the conference hall.
"We are there with you sir, no matter what." Whatever may be the reason, but the CEO is first in line to raise his hands up and be a sycophant to the director.
"We will do that sir, for you and for our company." Here goes another one.
"Will do as you say and support you." The editors say.
"We have to frame him? we have to show that he has done the murder even if he has not? I mean, we still don't have proof, right? So how are we gonna do this?" Ask the anchors.
"I'll tell you everything. There will also be other channels supporting us in this. So together we can take him down." He replies.
"What's to say Megh! Let's do this." Sakshi is all—ready.
"Yeah I'm ready. I'm ready to do anything to save my job." Says Meghna, agreeing.
"Great." Sakshi hugs Meghna
"So Meghna will be leading the reporters team, as she has done earlier. This will also be a job saver for her." The CEO suggests.
"Yeah. It's fine with me sir. I'm ready." Answers Meghna, standing up.
"Good." Says the director.
