Chapter 1- PILOT
After the dark one’s dagger was destroyed, everything settled down in Storybrooke. Everyone’s life got back to normal, including my family’s. I had quite a childhood -raised with magic since I was little? crazy - even if I’ve always felt like I am not enough. Storybrooke was now filled with heroes, and I was a normal child with a normal life. Mom is saying that I should be grateful for that, because she and my family fought for that for many years. But I never wanted that, to be honest. I’ve always wanted to fight with villains, slay dragons and save villagers. It seems like it’s in my blood. But anyway, they say that there is no more dark magic in the world, but they know as much as I do that this affirmation is absolutely incorrect. A magic as powerful as the Dark Ones cannot be that easily destroyed, even with the guardian now gone. I blame that stupid book- Grandma has red those stories to me too many times that I’ve started to even create theories. I have to embrace it, I will never be a hero, because there is no more dark magic in the world. Or is it?        It was a normal school morning, I woke up, got ready, and went downstairs for breakfast. It was smelling like pancakes, a typical Tuesday morning. “Already up, love?”  dad said smirking, he knows how much I hate it when he calls me love.    Rolling my eyes I said “Yes dad, and I have a name, you should use it more often” I said while mom stormed in the kitchen. He rolled his eyes at me and handed me a glass of orange juice.   “Killian, guess who’s coming today for the today?” mom said with her eyes sparkling with happiness. I knew the answer, of course. “Your bellowed son, it seems” I said with anger. “Christine, you're almost 16, when are you going to stop with this jealousy?” she said fixing me with her eyes. “Anyway” I said “Going to Olivia’s, Grumpy’s made waffles “Of course I was lying, but I just couldn’t deal with mom now. “Hey! What about my pancakes?” dad said while making a puppy face. “Maybe try cooking them less and then they will be edible next time” mom smirked and gave him a kiss”      Luckily, I didn’t have to see that. I sprinted on my bicycle and didn’t stop peddling until I reached Granny’s. I carefully placed my little vehicle leaning over the fence and walked through a narrow little street which leads to Olivia’s house. She is Grumpy’s and Blue fairy’s child. The blue fairy was taken at Olivia’s birth by The Dark One and left Grumpy with a big hole in his heart and a little girl. Since then, he didn’t love anything else more than his daughter. I’ve always admired him and I think he is a hero in his way, but I can’t say the same about Olivia. She loves her father, but doesn’t consider him more than a simple dwarf. She wants to became a hero, and to be honest, so do I. Considering my family, I could use my own glory and story. Anyway, I knocked at the door and someone touched me from the back. I froze and slowly turned around. I saw Olivia there and immediately a slow feeling of shame took over my body. “Not so much of a hero, aren’t you?” she smiled.    I pocked her and she rolled her eyes. I didn’t get sad of what she said, because I knew she was only kidding. Olivia has gorgeous brown eyes and wavy brown hair. She also has these beautiful features; she is built like a fairy and she has this gorgeous clear skin which I’ve been jealous on since I can remember. Don’t get me wrong, I love my brown eyes and Black hair, but I also love changes. I wish my mom would let me dye my hair, but this topic is forbidden in my house. “Sooo, what’s up? Are you gonna talk at all today or is it one of your bad days?” Olivia said and got me out of my thinking phase. “Sorry, I was thinking of something.” I said sounding bored.  “And that is…?” I’ve always admired her curiosity, but sometimes it’s getting on my nerves, and this time is one of those “times”. I wasn’t really thinking of anything so I just pulled the Henry card. “Mom and the Henry situation again, he’s coming to Storybrooke with his Lucy or whatever her name is” I said rolling my eyes. “But anyway, let’s not talk about it, not in the mood, Oli.” “Yea, sure thing, HOPE” she laugh.    I know she doesn’t like to be called Oli and she knows I don’t like being called Hope, but we still do it occasionally to piss each other off.    We continued our road to school and eventually, the day was over. I took the buss back home and I could hear from the outside of my house the giggles and laughter’s that were on the inside. I saw Henry’s car parked on the crossroad, so I knew what it was about, but turns out I couldn’t be more wrong. The happy couple was having another child. Yaayyy, another brat that’s going to keep me up all night. I know he is my step-brother, but I just hate his wife and child. Mom says that is about because they occupy most of his life and I just miss my brother, but it’s because that whole family is acting like they stopped a war or something, maybe they did, but still.    I sat down on the outside entrance stairs. I wasn’t prepared to get in, because of all the happy vibes and stuff. I started getting overwhelmed with my non-significant thoughts, because they started becoming significant. I was hearing the giggles from the inside that were produced without me in there and then it hit me – this wasn’t my story. I was just a character in another’s. And despite what everyone tells me, I will never feel good about myself until I find my story or fate or…whatever. And no matter what, from now on nothing stays in my way to finding my destiny.
