Chapter 5 Abort The Child!

709 Words
Lucas stunned for a moment, then turned around to look at me. He seemed ready to confront Sebastian, but I firmly grabbed his arm, not wanting any conflict that might ruin the already shattered marriage between Sebastian, Amy, and me. “Lucas, please leave,” I pleaded. A flicker of distress flashed across Lucas's eyes. He gave Sebastian a hard look before retreating to his house and slamming the door shut.   After Lucas left, Sebastian held my chin with his hands, pressing my head against the cabinet, causing immense pain. “I've warned you not to make Grace feel unhappy. Do you really think I will care about you if you touch her?” His tone was firm, and I could feel his hatred for me from the bottom of his heart.   “You, a malicious woman like you, are not worthy of being Grace's sister! She met you with good intentions, but you treated her so poorly! Amy, you are truly vicious! Your plan worked, and it only makes me feel much more disgusting when I see you.” Sebastian's handsome face drew closer, making my breathing falter. We were so close that night. No! It was even more intimate than that night. So close that we had our own baby.   “Amy, I wonder if your lover Lucas will still protect you when he sees your coquettish appearance now.” Sebastian forcefully pushed me away, causing me to bump my forehead against the corner of the cabinet. Warm blood trickled down, and I instinctively protected my lower abdomen. “Sebastian, I'm pregnant. I promised Grace, I would divorce you, but I want my child to be safe.”   “Forget it!” Sebastian interrupted, even angrier than before. “You know that we're getting divorced, and Grace will feel guilty because of this. But you intentionally use it to provoke her! Grace, why it wasn’t you to die in the accident that year?” Sebastian gritted his teeth. I gave a wry smile and finally understood why Sebastian was furious the moment he walked into the door. He believed that I made Grace cry with the divorce.   “I want to know that too. Why was I the only one blamed for the crime when I'm not the real murderer? Why should I suffer from all these?” My eyes dulled. Perhaps he felt boring quarreling with me, Sebastian loosened his necktie. “Go to the hospital tomorrow and abort the child. No matter whose kid it is, it’s a sinner as long as it comes out of your womb.”   “No! Please. I beg you, don't kill him. I'll do what you want me to do, I'll do anything.” Tears flowed instantly as I knelt on the ground. Looking up at the man I loved for seven years, I felt that I’ve never get to know him more. “I don’t need dignity, innocence, or even love. Just let me keep the child.” “Keep the child?” Sebastian squatted down, pinching my chin and asking. His eyes were cold, like icy knives, making me shiver and choke back all my pleas.   The corner of his mouth curved into a cruel smile, and I recoiled instinctively. Sharp pain shot through my jaw as he said, “Amy, do you really think you have the right to decide it?” I felt the coldness as my chin was still in his hands. Yes, in Sebastian's eyes, my existence was wrong, let alone my defiance. My heart throbbed painfully, and as my thoughts withdrew, darkness engulfed everything. The door was slightly ajar, allowing the cold wind to seep in. I looked up and peered outside, struggled to stand up from the floor. The dishes on the table had gone cold. I picked two dishes, reheated them, and got a full glass of water. I sat at the table and ate slowly. I used to disregard my own health condition, but now everything was different. I glanced down at my belly and placed my hand over it. “Babe, I promise I’ll protect you.” Nightmares continued to plague me, but I couldn't wake up. Suddenly, I felt like I was falling into an endless abyss.
