“What are you searching for now?” Dru asked Terrell.
“Josh mentioned something to me about Rachel having a different biological father than the man that raised her. It could be nothing, but for some reason it’s just bugging me.”
“Your gut usually knows best. Your bear’s instincts are better than your human’s.”
“It seems like a long shot really. I’m too in my head about this case. The fact that this bastard had his hands on Ava has my blood boiling. No matter how close she is to me, or how much I touch her, it’s not soothing me either. Something’s off.”
Just then Cecil came into the conference room.
“What are you doing off the hill?” Terrell asked.
Cecil rarely left his home and it was even rarer that he came down to the compound.
