Terrell
Terrell roused before Ava did the next morning. He slowly eased himself away from her side, keeping a cautious eye on her to make sure she didn’t stir. Once he was free, he relieved himself and then decided to run over to his makeshift apartment to grab a change of clothes. The clothes he had shown up to the café in had been the same ones he had left the compound in days before.
He could still smell the stink of the men on his shirt. That roused a growl from his bear. Terrell couldn’t help but chuckle. The weight of Ava’s secret and the knowledge that her attackers were gone made Terrell feel lighthearted for the first time in a while.
