River, my wolf startled me with these words that made me stiffen where I was.
At her words, I immediately sort of felt my instincts of danger rise up as if all the hair on my body was standing on edge.. I had goosebumps in that moment. My fear for the unknown was palpable and as soon as possible, I masked my pheromones, snapping myself out of my thoughts. If he was around here somewhere, it definitely meant that I wasn't safe here.
