Athena Harris POV
Shocked could be an understatement after what I just heard him say. My mouth literally hung open.
“Are you serious?” I breathed deeply.
My mind is not ready to accept it. There is no way, I will be able to accept it
“Like really?” I ask him with a shake of my head
“You know why he behaved liked that?” he asked me. I shake my head at him in a no.
“You are his mate. When we rescued you, you were not in the condition to walk and that is why I picked you and carried you with me back to the pack” he explains to me
I nod my head at him but I don’t know where he was going on with this conversation.
“Apparently, the Alpha did not like to see his mate, as in you, in my arms and that is also the reaction why he behaved so rudely with you yesterday night”
