The wind blew through the window I left open last night and filled my room with fresh smell of nature. I guess this is a sign telling me to wake up. I woke up feeling all bright and energetic, this is a good start for the day I thought to myself. I live in an orphanage run by the 7 packs in the neutral zone,along with many others. One of my duty was making breakfast, So I gotta make breakfast before everyone wakes up while it can be a hassle making breakfast for more than 20 but I loved it. Everyone is a family and I love cooking. I made some sandwiches with bacon, sunny eggs to go with. "Good morning Ailee", Father Joseph greet me as he sat down for breakfast."Good morning father Joseph", I wish him back. Father Joseph was the one who found me in the wood when I was just a baby and he looked after everyone one here including me. Soon giggles and laughter fill the dining hall. Everyone wishing each other "Good morning" and we ate our breakfast after praying to the Moon Goddess for keeping us save. I wore a blue jeans pair with a white tops and a jacket to go with , all ready for school. Summer vacation was over.I ride my bike and watch the scenery as I go, though I see them everyday but my heart feel at ease whenever I look at them. Nature and I has a connection. In no time I reached school well it takes 30 minutes of bike ride to get to school. I park my bike and start walking through the corridor. I felt as if someone was behind so I dodge, only to see Sarah land flat on the floor. "It's just no fun Ailee". She complains while I help her get up. Sarah is my best friend, she and I have been friends for over 3 years she's 5.5 with beautiful brown curly hair though she thinks other wise and light emerald eye. She got a sexy curve. she belong to The Red Moon Pack the fourth strongest pack out of the 7 packs. "How do you always manage to dodge?" She stare at me. Well I guess I'm extra sensitive. How was your summer vacation we both sync as we ask.We chuckled. Oh gosh did you hear the bell rang.Sarah I don't think you wanna be late for class. We were so busy talking that we didn't notice the bell rang. Run..! we shout and we both started running fast to get to the classroom because Mrs Swifts was supposed to take the first class and she's extremely hard to please and paranoid. We don't wanna get punished. Lucky for us we weren't late, we got to our seat a sec before Mrs. Swifts came in.The class went on as usual. "Oh I'm starving".Sarah brust out loud. Should we grab something to eat it's lunch time.I suggest. Let's go what we waiting for?.Matthew walked into our class. Hi babe Sarah hug Matthew. Well you guys might have guessed Sarah and Matthew are mate. It's a bond we share, a blessing by the moon goddess given to us werewolf. Our mate are the life partner chosen for us even before we were born. "Wow today's menu is awesome" Sarah is extremely happy. Getting whatever she can on her plate.Both Matthew and I chuckled. Well school without her would have been boring. We sat down on the side of the window. Sarah plate of bacon, salad and sandwich with extra piece of muffins for sweet. "I won't be around for a couple of days" Matthew said, which stop Sarah on her way to take a mouthful of food. Why? She whimper. Rogue are seen around the border. I need to go patrol the border along with Alex. Alex is the future Alpha of the Dark wolf pack. People say he's a promising young lad and quite handsome too. Not that I care. We are so used to talking normally with Matthew that we sometimes forgets that he's the future beta of The Dark wolf pack. They met during a basketball match between the Dark wolf pack and The neutral zone led in winter. After finding out that his mate was here,he transferred here for schooling but had to go back and forth from time to time for his duties as a beta and everytime he's gone Sarah would be sad cause that's just how much the bond of being mate and their love for each other connects them. "Take care of yourself" Sarah kiss him. I don't want you hurting out there and be back soon. "I'll be sure to your highness" Matthew kiss her back before he left. I was happy that she found her mate and I wish I would find mine soon. Now with just the two of us. Sarah ask "what are we doing this Saturday?" This Saturday?I asked all confused. Oh my God!! don't tell me you forgot girl....It's your birthday. You'll be turning 18 Ailee. You'll get your wolf and you'll find out who your mate is. Well, for us werewolf we get our wolf when we turn 18 and shift for the first time. It'll be a part of us. And also we'll get to know who our fated mate is. "But I'm scared...what if he reject me. I said in a low voice and got instantly smack in the ass by Sarah. Ailee why do you think so?. Your perfect. Just look at yourself, your 5.8 like a model, ruby like eyes with golden brown hair and body as hot as if your running for a beauty pageant and if your mate still dare to then he don't deserve you. Aren't they unusual..my eyes? I ask feeling down cause people always stare at them. No..... they are beautiful that's why they can't take their eyes off you. So tomorrow your coming over to my house at the Red Moon Pack, we're having a girl day all to ourselves and I won't take no for an answer. Sarah command." Yes sir" I salute and we both chuckled. THE NEXT DAY_ I got up feeling all good. Standing near the mirror wishing myself a Happy 18th Birthday. I got down the stairs and into the kitchen only to be surprised with everyone standing there with a cake with 18 on it. "Happy Birthday Day" everyone wished me. "Thank you everyone" I thank them from the bottom of my heart and blew and cut the cake. "We been working on it since yesterday night" Simon of the kid said excitedly. "We try our best i hope you like it Ailee and thanks for taking care of us everyday "Amy gave me a peck on the cheek."Everyone did a wonderful job here" Father Joseph join in on the conversation and I wish you a very "happy birthday child and i also hope you come around to visit us while you can", Father said with tears in his eyes. Well we had to leave the orphanage if we found our mate to live in their pack. Everyone got emotional now. But a loud honk ruined the moment.I knew it was Sarah. "I give you 10 minutes "Sarah shouted. Okay! I said as I run lighting fast and dress up in white dress upto my knee with a straw hat, its sunny outside and gladiators with criss-cross strip all done and ready. I walk downstairs and saw Sarah talking with Father Joseph probably asking permission to let me stay overnight. "Ailee as much i would love to celebrate your last birthday here together but I want you to enjoy with your friends too" so take care. I hugged him before saying bye. And off we go. We went to the movie theater watched 2 horror movies back to back and went shopping. Sarah let me try on dresses I lost count of. I love how she's all energetic but sometimes it can be a hassle. We grab something to eat and finally i thought we were going home but Sarah went for more shopping. I rised my hand in surrender after we went in and out of 5 shop and beg her to go home. I pray for Mathew who will be stuck with her for life. (meanwhile Matthew getting a shiver down his spine?). Finally after shopping all day with a shopaholic and energetic Sarah we reached The Red moon pack. She told me to go on as she park the car. I rang the door bell to be welcome by a happy Mrs. William, Sarah's mom. "Hi Mrs. William" I greet her. Long time no see Ailee dear and "happy birthday to you" she wish me. I prepared a lot of things for you and thanks for always taking care of Sarah. I know that she can be tiresome sometimes. Mrs. William and I both chuckled. Hey! are you guys making fun of me Sarah pop out of no where. Well they are. Jack Sarah's brother join in. How are you Ailee?and Happy Birthday, now your all grown up huh? He patted my head wishing me. He was like a brother to me and he would always say that he had 2 sisters to look after Sarah and Me. This family made me feel welcome and home everytime I visit. We sat down for dinner. Mr. William isn't here but he also wish you a happy birthday Sarah's mom told me while serving the dishes. Mr. William is one of the fighter of The Red Moom pack so he's often busy with work. You'll be getting your wolf today and the shift would be quite painful for the first time Jack warned me. Well around 11:55 you'll start shifting so after dinner you should rest for a while and we'll be there for you if something goes wrong he assured me. Well shifting for the first time is painful, one needs someone to look after them if in case they get out of control cause the adrenaline is high and its makes us crazy experiencing it for the first time. I was scared and excited at the same time. We talked a little more about their experience of shifting and meeting their wolf. After dinner I went in to take a shower and wore one of Sarah pajamas and went straight to bed. I was death asleep in just a few seconds. I scream and I woke up with a sudden pain in my abdomen and the pain spread slowly through out my body. I felt like burning up and I'm sweating. Sarah and Jack came running as they heard me scream. "Oh she's burning up we need to cool her down" I heard Sarah said worriedly." Let's take her to the..."Jack was saying something but I just couldn't hear them and I was losing my consciousness. I would be in and out of my consciousness. I felt someone carry me. "Ailee we're gonna cool you down in the pack lake so bear with it" I heard Sarah telling me.I heard my bone cracking and the pain got me screaming out loud ahhhh... as they placed me in the lake.I could feel it the power of the unknown within me and finally when I thought that I could take no more I hear a voice "leave it to me".I know it was my wolf and now suddenly all the pain was gone like it never happened. I'm out and when I woke up I was in bed. I was all sweaty so I went in to take a shower.How did I get back home? and did I shift or not? I mean I did feel the pain of bone cracking. I was all confused. "Yes you did shift". I almost fell down frightened by the voice. Who's that? I turn around to see. But no one was there. It's me. It spoke again.I position myself in fighting pose who are you? i asked again. Only to meet with laughter hahhah.... I'm your Wolf stella. Well sorry for not introducing myself before and scaring you. She quite a playful one I thought to myself. "Yes" I am she replied. Wait a minute did you just read my thoughts?I question her. Yes I did we are one now both in body and soul.Nice meeting you Ailee she greeted me and I greet her back nice meeting you to stella. I got down for breakfast everyone was already seated and Sarah came hugging me. Ailee you were great Yesterday. She told me. And beautiful. Beautiful?? well I don't remember anything. It's okay it happens sometimes she assured me. Well so how did I look. I asked her getting all curious. As we put you in the lake to cool down you shifted and emerge from the lake. Your wolf ..your wolf is silver in color with that beautiful eye mixture of ruby and forest green. And you know what? you were so fast that both Jake and I had a hard time keeping up with you. "You would make a great fight or even beta had you join or were in a pack" Jack said with confident.Well Jack was already training to be fighter so this coming from him meants a lot. I blushed getting all the praise. I know I'm pretty and strong stella praises herself in my mind and we both chuckled. Let's go for a run together after breakfast Jack suggested. Sarah and I both nod in agreement. I wanted to see and feel my wolf. We went a bit further into the forest. Sarah and I went behind a tree and Jack went to other, we undress before shifting because we didn't wanted to go back naked. Though it was common for wolf to see each other naked body but Sarah was mated and I didn't feel comfortable going around naked. I turn back to see Sarah and Jack already shifted, Sarah's wolf Kira was muddy brown and Jack's wolf Duke was dark chocolate brown. Okay so it's my turn but how do I shift. I was confused because I didn't remember anything from last night. "Feel it Ailee, feel me"Stella told and I close my eyes and it just happened. I saw my feet that were now paw of wolf and I started running along with them. It felt like playing game. I feel the wind as ran and the trees,grass and everything that surround me. I turn back to see Sarah snd Jack and give them a challenging glare. They both knew what I meant and we start racing. Jack run past me and so did Sarah well they shifted before me so they had the advantage. "No way in hell I'm letting them win" Stella growl and speed up and no time we run past them in a lightning speed and back to where we left our clothes.We change back into our clothes and Sarah and Jack both ask me how I did it. Well, I told them that Stella is quite competitive she doesn't like losing. By the evening Sarah drop me home at the orphanage and I went to bed thinking about all the things that happened within a day and now I'm not alone. Thanks Stella for being there I mind talk her and she said that she was happy to finally meet me and that we were gonna have a lot of fun together. I slowly fall into sleep with all the tiredness of today's activities that took place.
