Chapter Seventy Eight

1821 Words

It was Thursday, Arsen’s birthday. One thing I’ve come to realize is that being involved with Arsen could be emotionally exhausting. He had been extra fiendish and despicable these past few days that I was almost convinced that the little moment we had at his house last Friday didn’t happen. I have been working twice as much and thrice as hard as I used to and still, still he criticizes and find faults in everything I do. He threatens to fire me every single time and I can’t help but think what happened between us that night had been a mistake, that he regrets it. And that hurt even more because I have unknowingly fallen for the unapologetic, arrogant bastard. Even after everything he’s done to me. His stupid charm had somehow worked on me and that made me even angrier with myself.
