“I don’t have what to wear”, Tessa said as she burst into Lucy’s room.
“Raid my closet”, she waved her hand towards her closet in response to Tessa’s outburst.
Twenty minutes later, both girls were ready and set to go out.
“I’m not really comfortable with this”.
“I know and that’s why we’re going out”.
“You’re going to feel every effect of Winston’s college before you pack up and move”.
Although Tessa knew that Lucy meant the last line as a joke, she couldn’t still shake away the feeling of emptiness she felt with those words.
“Where exactly are we going to?”
“Out, to a karaoke bar to meet my friends”.
“Ohh”, Tessa’s voice sounded enthusiastic.
“I’ve never been to one”.
Lucy turned and looked her surprised.
“You’ve never been to a karaoke bar?”
