The sound of phone ringing from a distance woke Eric up, but it wasn’t just the phone that was ringing this time. His head too.
He tried to reach for the phone but he couldn’t move, then he noticed that he was tangled up in the arms of a stranger. A lady, he gently untangle himself and rushed to pick up his phone, but the call ended before he could pick it it up.
Eric turned to look at the lady’s face again before he dialed the number that called him before. It was his counsel, just then realization hit him. He was supposed to be with him now, working out the bail paperwork.
But here he was, in bed with an unknown woman, plus he was an hour and thirty minutes away from the town.
He hurriedly got down from the bed and waited as his counsel picked the call.
