It wasn’t fair that I was anxious all day Friday. I told myself I wasn’t going to get this worked up over men ever again, but I was. And it wasn’t just the worry over whether or not Vince was actually going to show up to get Kyle, despite his repeated promises. It was the thought of seeing Alvin.
He’d been texting me all week. Cute flirty texts about getting together over the weekend. I had a ton of work to do, but he insisted I needed a break, too. He was right, and he finally talked me into dinner Saturday night.
