The pounding of the waves took away some of the frustration I felt toward Micah. I still couldn’t believe he tried to warn Briella off me. How would he feel if I did the same to Ginny? Of course, Micah was a good guy. He had a real piece of work as an ex-wife, but she was out of his life for good, so there wasn’t any reason to warn Ginny off him. There were plenty of reasons to warn Briella off me. But it still pissed me off. I avoided him on the water, keeping to shallower surf with Kyle. We caught the tail end of waves, letting it pull us to shore then paddling back out again. I could easily stand where we paddled, but it was mid-chest on Kyle and deep enough.
