CHAPTER TWO

Brandy quickly packed some necessities and left the house. Few moments later she was in Jade's place, as expected Jade wasn't home, she used her spare keys to let herself in. They both had a spare key to each other's house.

She headed straight to the refrigerator, if there's anything she can count on is junk food in Jade's house. She doesn't cook much but she always has comfort food ready, anytime...any day.

Spotting her target, the big bucket of ice cream she carried it to the sofa and switched on the television and muttered to herself " let's do this instead of crying alone, yes this is definitely better, no need to watch dem calories anymore"

Almost immediately Jade came back from wherever she went to " yo yo yo!! where's my wedding champagne or is the groom not as rich as we heard?" She was definitely ready for some gist

"Oh no no no no....you ain't finishing my ice cream in one go, what's wrong with you" she said while dragging the bucket with her

"I just want a sweet addition to my life" Brandy whined

" No doubt about that but at least use a plate, don't eat everything" she managed to drag it away from her and went to get her a plate

"Was the wedding that bad that you want to drown yourself in ice cream" she asked after setting a smaller portion in front of her

"Jeff cheated on me" that made Jade to stop for a while then she went to the counter to grab a bottle of wine and a glass

She sat down took a sip and said " wait, you mean to tell me that Jeff, your Jeff the one I know, cheated on you?"

Brandy nodded "with who if I may ask" but Brandy just looked at her, the look was enough for her to connect the dot

"Nooo...." Jade said with disbelief

"Yes...."Brandy confirmed it

"Mo******cker, I knew there was something weird about them" Jade said angrily

"I know and you told me but I didn't listen until I caught them f***ing each other, she even had the guts to tell me to leave, I wish I had ended things when he started making those nasty comments" Brandy said with tears in her eyes

Jade went over to the couch to comfort her friend "I'm so sorry Bee he doesn't deserve you"

" Eight years babes, I was ready for forever with him" she cried

" Well thank God that didn't work" this made Brandy to cry more " no no I'm sorry I meant, there are other men out there who are willing to love you, you just need to forget about that as***le"

" No I'm done with relationships, why can't I be like those girls who just don't care, they go out and have fun and the men literally worship them

I practically took care of my own man and yet I got insults and infidelity as a thank you gift"

" He doesn't deserve you and you don't have to change for anybody and besides most of those adoration you see and envy is fake because they only want to get inside your pants" Jade tried to encourage her

Brandy took the wine on the table and took a large swallow before declaring "I want to go out, I want to have fun, for one night I want to have a man adore me even if it is fake"

She turned to her friend " you'll make that happen right?.... you know all the good spot please! please!!!" She pleaded

" Oh! for f**ks sake why not, let me make a call" Jade always finds it hard to say no to her especially when she looks at her with those dewy eyes

Jade thought hard about a club that will be safe enough for her friend knowing that she wasn't the clubbing type she needed one with good security

Then she remembered Spotlight, yes Spotlight, she had been there a few times and she knows the owner doesn't play with the safety of the girls plus her highschool classmate and friend also works there

She called her to confirm if it was just a normal club night or if there's a private party going on, that way she could tell if there was way too much crowd

"Okay munchkin, if you really want to go, you need to freshen up, we need to turn you from looking like a grieving widow to a hot sexy Chica" and she did just that.

" Wow" Brandy admired herself in the mirror she wore one of Jade's clothes a short silver satin dress with a cowl neckline, it wasn't so short to make her uncomfortable she wanted her to feel confident and have fun

The dress brought out her curves in the right places, while the colour and material of the dress gave the perfect match to her skin.

In addition to that, Jade gave her an updo that highlighted her beautiful eyes, her rosy cheeks splattered with freckles and her full and luscious lips. She couldn't believe the transformation

Brandy has always been a gorgeous red head but one thing about her is that she fails to realize her own strengths, today Jade wants her to see herself in all her glory

"See Bee, this beauty does not need Jeff, so as we go out today we're gonna say, to hell with Jeff got it?" Jade asked

" Yes, to hell with jeff" replied Brandy

Jade quickly got ready too with a short red halter neck dress, they both decided to go with black stilettos. They did the last minute check for cash, credit card and phone and then grabbed their jackets on their way out

Taking a cab was the best option as they won't be in any position to drive when coming back.

Spotlight was busy as usual, the guy upfront was already familiar with her as they had seen her with Ana many times and soon they were inside the club

They were greeted with the lights and loud music, male and female paired up in different sections with some grinding on each other on the dance floor

Jade took her to the bar...." Hi Ana"

"Welcome..." Ana said "....so what's the occasion"

"Celebrating the separation from a cheater" Brandy said

" Oof that bad..." Ana asked and they both nodded "....how do you wanna start"

"we'll start a bit slow then build up, she's not very good with alcohol" Jade stated

" Nice plan, let's start with this" she said placing a coloured glass in front of them

Brandy downed it in one go

"Wo wo wo, slow down tiger we have all night okay, you were ment to sip and enjoy that one" Jade said

"I need more" she said

Jade directed Ana to give her something very light for now, reminding Brandy the need to pace herself if she wanted to enjoy the night,

They took the party to the dance floor where Brandy to the surprise of Jade whined and twisted her body in ways she never expected

" Girrrl....I didn't know you could dance like that" commended Jade

" I don't feel the alcohol, I think I need something stronger" Brandy said and went back to the bar

Ana set shots in front of them and they jugged it down,

"That felt good, this is a good night" she said and went back to the dance floor while Jade just watched

"What kind of i***t thought it a good idea to cheat on her, I mean she's literally a goddess" Ana asked

" He's really an i***t" replied Jade

"You seem happy" Ana asked

"Yes, he didn't deserve her love, if I had my way it would have been over since, I'm just glad she's free from him"

Ana looked up "here she comes, somethings off though"

" What's wrong Bee, you looked like you were enjoying yourself with Blondie over there" Jade said referring to the guy she was dancing with

"Yes but then someone keeps staring at me, his eyes has been on me since we danced together and now he looked really mad" Brandy said worried

This brought Jade to an alert mode while Ana motioned for one of the security

"Where did you say you saw him" Ana asked

" I mean not a particular place cause he seems to be everywhere but I saw him last over there" she pointed towards a secluded area and immediately the security guy got to work.

After a while he came back to announce that no one was there, she was asked to describe him

"He has this piercing dark eyes and dark aura around him, he is tall maybe 6foot 5, he's definitely packed but not like those gym bros, he was on an all black assemble like he didn't want to be noticed

and he was spotting a skin fade buzz cut plus I don't know if it's the alcohol but he's incredibly handsome and attractive" she finished her description a bit embarrassed

They did one more sweep of the environment even checked the cameras but nothing

"Why don't you sit for a while, you know catch your breath a little" Jade suggested

" Yea you're probably right, how am I attracted to my stalker" she wondered

this made the girls giggle as they went back to chatting while Ana got busy with other customers, another guy that has been trying to chat with Jade all night came around but she refused to give him audience

She didn't understand why though the guy was handsome and well built although not as the man in the shadows or was it because of her?

She called for another round of drinks and the guy told Ana to put it on his tab

" Coming right up" Ana replied

This time Brandy wasn't holding back and downed glass after glass of tequila before dragging Jade to the dance floor

She noticed that other guys were trying to get Jade's attention but she has been busy babysitting her so she excused herself to use the restroom and stated firmly that she wanted to go alone

However, she regretted her decision cause now that she wasn't dancing she felt the full effect of the alcohol,

she managed just fine but ended up lost on her way back.

"Hi beautiful, you look lost, do you need help" she looked up to see three guys closing in on her

"No I'm good" she tried to look confident but she was actually shaking inside, after all nothing good comes from this kind of situation.....God she wished for Jade right now or anyone

The guys didn't stop instead they backed her up farther away from the music and started touching her, she tried to fight but there was not much a drunk girl could do against three hefty guys determined to do harm

She tried screaming but her screams were muffled with a hand to her mouth while one of them tried to carry her out.

Out of nowhere she was dragged again from the hands of one of the three men and pushed behind a wall with black curtains?..... no not a wall definitely not a wall but a man.

The three guys charged toward the man but it felt like three dogs against a lion, soon they were escorted by security with bruises as gifts

He turned to her ever so slowly "didn't anyone ever warn you about the dangers of being alone in a place like this"

It was him, those eyes that has been on her since and he looked mad. She should feel scared now but surprisingly she felt safe with her......stalker?
