Long ago, the vampires and the Lycans had long been in a fued with one another. A vampire bite is known to be poisonous to Lycans but it was never able to kill a lycanThere was no problem in the beginning because they were both at the top of the food chain but when Lycans began to mate with humans and made werewolves. The vampire bite became deadly to them to an extent that it killed them.
It made the vampires think they were above the Lycans and werewolves. They began to pass their boundaries and fought for places of power that had nothing to do with their race.
They wanted the Selene stone for themselves for they believed they were the strongest and should be the one to rule over all races with the Selene stone.
