The deer finally stopped moving under me but I had no desire to kill the poor being so retracted my teeth and set it free. He immediately got up and dashed out into the woods. I sat back on my hind legs with our tail wagging like a puppy. My wolf had her tongue out, smitten by the proud smile on Kaiden’s face. He bent down and rubbed my head gently. “You did good,” he whispered. “Now it’s time to leave.” he stood up tall and pocketed his hands into his pockets. My wolf shrugged her body then returned control back to me. I changed back into my human form. Kaiden left and returned with the shirt I brought along. I changed immediately, and took his hand which he stretched out to me. His cold hand met with my warm hand. I hid my smile as he led me back into the palace.
