When Abril heard that Cosset was under attack, she felt as if the air had been knocked out of her. She knew she should have returned sooner, but she was afraid to leave her little one, which is why she had hesitated for so long.
"Why didn't you tell me my kingdom is under attack?"
"I didn't tell you because I didn't know either. This pixie just informed me."
Abril looked at the small fairy and asked, "What's happening?"
The little fairy glanced at the queen, and upon seeing her approval, began to speak. "It seems some villages were attacked by monsters."
"Does Alessandro know?"
"Yes, he and Barto will depart tomorrow morning with their knights to confront them."
Without a second thought, Abril said to the fairy queen, "I must return to my kingdom."
