Grace was spreading gobs of wasabi on her sushi with a chopstick. "I don't believe you. Where's the proof?"
"First of all," I said licking my fingers, "These avocado fries are amazing. Second, why would I lie? Just because I didn't pose with the python doesn't mean I didn't help catch it. Okay, I held the bag while a python got shoved in but that was traumatic enough."
Grace snickered. "For you, or for the python?"
"Both of us."
"I bet!" Grace sipped her iced tea through a paper straw. "Never a dull moment with Kip, right? Would you do it again?"
"Not if I were being chased by a pack of wolves. It's off my bucket list." My tofu bun arrived and it smelled heavenly. "I must admit though, it was exciting."
