Chapter Eight

Ami followed them. She need to find out who is JongHyeop at Nicole life? What is JongHyeop intension? Why JongHyeop is with them? Is he really a Devil? Ami asked a lot questions in thoughts.She need to find the answers. Or maybe an ex-lover? Ex-childhood crush? Whatever! Ami said. I need to find out the truth.

"Can you look out the coffee shop for me?" Ami asked the Barista who was in charged to thier coffee shop. "I need to go out for a while," she explained. The Barista just nodded as an answered. Ami quickly get out of the coffee shop and she walked behind the two. Of course, twenty- step apart so that they can't see and notice her.

Ami was got surprised why the two keep on bickering? Like, there is something wrong between them? A misunderstanding atmosphere. What if she's correct? What if they are a lover before and they just got broke up? My gosh Nicole! Why are you so secretive? I really need to know the truth. You should tell me who is JongHyeop to your life? Or else I will kill you. Nope, I'm just joking, Ami said in her mind with a giggles. Well, JongHyeop is sweet and handsome. So, everything is just a misunderstanding. Ami said in herself again full of confusion.

"Where are we going?" JongHyeop asked her.

"To hell! With you!" Nicole shouted at him with a fierce look for being annoyed.

"Do you really want to die?" He asked.

"What do you think?" Nicole said back. " Do you think I really wanted to die? Yes, its okay to die. But, let me die according to God plan, not your plan."

"But it's not me who make that decisions, it was you who did it." JongHyeop explained with a pouted lips. "You're the one who was throwing yourself on the pit of fire. That's why I'm here?"

"So, it was really my fault, huh?" Nicole said feeling disappointed. "I'm the one is in charged with my life so, you don't have the right to drag me too."

"Yup! Well, you felt right?" JongHyeop replied. "And by the, why are we keep walking? I thought you need to buy something?" He asked looking at their surrounding.

"I have nothing to buy." She answered honestly. "I just want to have a walk on my own. But you insisted of following me.

"Uhm, okay." JongHyeop said. And he kept walking too.

JongHyeop followed Nicole every stepped she makes. The scenes and the energy from him makes Nicole shivered. She can't really understand her feeling why she's being confused when JongHyeop is near. Nicole tried to walked away but JongHyeop keep his distance close at her. Nicole just ignored him for being so bothersome. And she never realized that. Nicole distracted mind got her almost bumped into a lamp post. Lucky, JongHyeop pulled her. Nicole got shocked at their position. She was hugging him or else she will fall down. Her hand was holding at JongHyeop waist while her head was in his chest. She can hear his heart beat.

"Woah!" Ami suddenly screamed. She covered her mouth with her palm. "You almost died," she said shaking her head. "Luckily JongHyeop is with you, my Dear Sister." Ami said talking to herself. They are really lovers. Well they just need to compromise to get back. Ami said in her mind. Imagining like she is watching a real drama on live. Maybe, my best friend will need my help. "Oh no! That what should I do. Nether, let makes her jealous." Ami said laughing. "Get ready for me, Nicole." She said being thrilled without knowing that Ami was behind them.

"Thank you." Nicole said being shy. She knows her face turned red after that scenario. And JongHyeop let her go because

already she feels comfortable. She arrange neatly her clothes.The silence between them get awkward . Nicole and JongHyeop continue walking after that incident.

"You're welcome." He responded. "You should see where you going and you should always be careful," he added. Nicole just nodded as an answered.

Ami cellphone rang. Their Bartender is calling her. He said that they have some misunderstanding on the coffee shop. One of their costumer are complaining about her coffee for being sweet. Jimmy explained at her that said she need to go back quickly. The costumer is making a chaos and making a scene. Ami doesn't know what to do right now even she wanted to follow them. But for now she need to face a problem first. Well she doesn't have a choice but to go back and fix that issue.

"I will settle to both of you tonight." Ami said while walking back to their coffee shop. "We are not done yet." She mumbled.

Nicole and JongHyeop ended in the park. A lot of people are walking, playing with there families with their pets and some couples who are having a date and having a good time. They found a bench. Nicole sat down first. She don't know how to start their conversation again after that embarrassing incident. And the more she thinks of it the more she annoyed. And the worst part is this Devil beside her was chasing her for her death.

"Do I really need to die?" She asked not looking at him. Well, a little bit pinched on her heart after she realized how much is her worth to be worthless?

"It depends. Well, I'm just a devil but death is not for us to decide. And I can't predict your death. JongHyeop answered honestly. "Maybe it's up to you or to your fate?"

Nicole makes a sighed.

"Actually, I'm the breadwinner. If I die what will happen to my family?" She said her eyes was looking in the beautiful sky. Her tears also suddenly fall and her heart suddenly felt heavy. But she must tell herself to be strong and to encourage herself that can win this fight.

"I don't know." JongHyeop answered. "Then just don't die." He replied while staring at her face.

"Then what the reason why you suddenly appeared?" She asked."Why? Why are you here with me now instead you are in hell?" Nicole mumbled with a hoarse voice because her throat suddenly felt dry.

"Because, you are my mission. And like I said, they the one who choose you not me." JongHyeop denied at her. But he knows actually the reason and the truth why he's with her right now. He mistaken an innocent dead person for putting him in pit of fire. That's why Nicole was in danger at his hands. And that person was not belong to hell but actually belongs to heaven. That's actually the truth why Satan punished him by doing it To, amend his mistakes he need to wait for her to die and drag her together to hell.

"Do you want some beer and a spicy fried chicken?" Nicole suddenly asked. "Let's go and grab some to the nearest convenience store," she said. She stand first while not looking at JongHyeop. "Let's go." Nicole invited, and she started to walked slowly.

"You can talk to me." JongHyeop said. "You can share to me some of your problems."

"Like what?" She replied. "I don't have a problem because my biggest problem right now is you."

"Oh. I'm sorry. " He apologized. But what I mean is---if you want to share something to me? If you have anything to tell me? Just share it." JongHyeop said being concerned.

"I don't want to talk about it." Nicole replied.

JongHyeop never bother to ask her again. They walked quietly until they reached the nearest convenience store. They grabbed a six can of beer and they ordered a bucket of spicy chicken. When they done with their things, they walked back again to the park. Nicole sat down on the grass. She looked at the sky it was so beautiful.And this time it was already sunset. Sunset is her favorite views cause it will turn the world into darkness. Nicole makes a sighed. Then she smile shaking her head.

JongHyeop opened the can of beer for her. "Here. Have a drink," he offered. "Having a deep thoughts makes you unhappy," he said.

"Then, should I celebrate that I was dying soon? Should I have to throw a party and be happy?" Nicole said to JongHyeop. She took the beer and she took a sipped on it. Her throat that feeling dry suddenly felt good. The beer was a good.

"Then, don't think about dying," JongHyeop suggested. "Just think how to survive."

"I can't." She replied shaking her head. "Because you are here now." And she drink again her beer on her hand. Nicole can't stop drinking. She's really mad at herself. She need to get drunk and forget everything. JongHyeop stopped her when she tried to open another can of beer again.

"Slowly." He warned. "You are already done with three cans of beer. Do you think you're drinking a water? And you still want to have another one?" JongHyeop said in disbelief while staring at his pathetic state.

Nicole stared at JongHyeop. Her eye sight started to be blurred. Actually, she can't hold her drink. She get drunk easily. " Why? Why are you stopping me? Let's finish this quickly and let's have another round." She said laughing.

JongHyeop shaked his head.

"You're drunk. Let's go home." He said snatching the can of beer on her hand.

"Damn! My life! Go away! Stop being so caring. I'm dying anyway." Nicole said while hiccuping. She's telling a lie.She really don't want to die.

JongHyeop can't stand this girl anymore for having a tantrums. So he pulled Nicole to get up to makes her stand. JongHyeop carried him at his back. Nicole hugged JongHyeop neck and she comfortable lay her head down. "Why are you so hot? And why are you so concerned if Im dying? Please, stop making me confused?" Nicole said closing her eyes. She can hear her heart beat thumping crazy again at JongHyeop back. For sure JongHyeop felt it too..
