15 Glenn Glenn eyed a battered aircraft that still showed the black and white marks identifying it as a veteran of the invasion in Normandy. That Gooney Bird had definitely seen better times, but beggars couldn’t be choosers and with the raging scarcity of aircraft in airworthy condition, he would take anything with wings.
