Lavender’s POV The gym is another ten blocks away so i decide to jog down there. After the accident, I barely got into any moving vehicles to say the least. The gym is an exclusive gym, accessible to only prestigious people and those who can afford the membership fee . You might be wondering how I'm able to afford it, well I can't. The owner of the gym is my fathers best friend. Which is how I have the privilege to go there whenever I like. Two blocks away from getting to the gym, I pause. I take a breath and have some water. The crowd at the gym front from where I am is unbelievable. Remember how i said the gym is only accessible to prestigious people? So yes, happens one Abel something is going to be there today. I don’t exactly remember his name. Besides, i don’t care about people like that. I believe every billionaire is arrogant and i hate arrogance. So I pick up my pace in order to avoid getting entangled in the crowd. I manage to squeeze my way into the gym. The receptionist welcomes me warmly. After exchanging pleasantries with her, i make my way to the main gym. While getting there, a man with sleeper built body bumps into me. I didn’t notice him coming my way, and of course, he wasn’t looking and he still isn’t paying attention. “Excuse me? You just bumped into me, the least you can say is sorry. ” I tell him His full attention is on his phone and still doesn’t acknowledge my presence or the fact that he bumped into somebody. So i snatch his phone from his hand, that seems to get his attention. “What the hell are you doing?” he deadpans “Waiting for my apology” I throw back “Give me my phone” he continues “Say sorry!” Just then, the receptionist calls out my name and asks if i was okay. I assure her i am. “Lavender” I froze. He knows my name? How? Oh yes,the receptionist called out my name. Before i could snap back into reality, he was already in my space. “Give.Me.My.Phone” I raise an eyebrow. “Apologize” i insist His expression hardens. “I don’t apologize for freak accidents” he said “And i don’t tolerate rude billionaires” I bite back His eyes narrow. “Did you see my wallet?” he questions “What?” i frown “You called me a billionaire” he replies “You look like one” i answer back “That doesn’t answer my question “ he says “ I don’t care” i reply For a moment, we just stare at each other. I snap out of the eye contest as soon as he holds his hands out. “Phone” he says “Apology” i press He clenches and unclenches his Jaw. “You’re incredibly annoying.” he says “You’re incredibly grumpy and rude.” it throw back “I don’t have time for this child's play” he continues “Clearly you do, because you’re still standing here entertaining this “ child’s play”.” i air quote His face twitches a little. I smile, tiny victory. Suddenly he steps closer, on cue I step back. “ Give me my phone Lavender” he demands “No” “Why?” he asks “Clearly you haven’t apologized.” i answer “Fine” he says My eyes widen, did he just agree to say sorry? “Fine?” i repeat just to make sure i heard well “Yes” he replies I hold out his phone. “Say it” He looks at me for a long, quiet second. “ I apologize” he says Color me surprised when he finally apologized, I seriously didn’t think he would. But I just had to pester him more. “For?” i ask His expression almost immediately flatten. “ You’re pushing your luck” he says “You said you’d apologize” i push “ I did” he replies “You didn’t mean it” i push “I barely mean anything i say to strangers” he points I just stare at him, this man is very much unbelievable. “ And you’re still holding my phone.” Right, i’m still holding his phone. With a huff, I shove the phone into his chest. He easily catches it and slips it into his pocket. “Thank you” he says I turn on my feet to do some cardio before I head home . “Wait” he called out I look over my shoulder. “What?” He nods toward the water bottle i’d dropped when we collided, if completely forgotten. “You forgot something” I bend down to pick up my bottle and by the time I straightened my back, he was already walking away. “Jerk” i mutter Without turning back,he replies “I heard that” I roll my eyes. “ Good” He finally glances back at me, and for a brief second, our eyes meet. And then he walks away. I watch him disappear towards the other side of the gym. Somehow, i’ve a feeling I hadn't seen the last of him. Just great!
