Chapter Four

Zariah’s POV “Well, now we have to decide showers before we get ready for tonight,” I said. “If you don’t mind, I would like to go first so I can take a nap before Gavin gets here. That is if Mistral will help dry my hair faster,” I said. “Of course, I will.” Mistral replied. “Thanks,” I responded. As the rest of them were nodding their agreement. I was hoping a shower and nap would rejuvenate my energy, especially when we manifest Aelia and Ayella. I can feel it will take a little bit more power because we are here on Earth. I took a quick shower. I know that Kayne said a spell to let the hot water last, but still, I want time to nap too. Mistral came into Xan’s room to dry my hair. I could’ve used the blow dryer, but it would’ve taken an hour or more, cutting into my nap time. Mistral could have it dry in a few minutes. I brushed my hair as she dried it. She put it in a quick braid for me so it wouldn’t tangle. I climbed into Xan’s bed and fell fast asleep. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Caedan’s POV We each took a shower while Zariah was napping. I’m glad she decided to go get looked at by a doctor. She is right. Thorne can only do so much and doctors here are, as she said, usually specialized in treating women who are pregnant specifically. Zariah told me what would happen, but I couldn’t help but get angry. He was looking at her naked. She had to remind me, and I calmed down some because I realized he wasn’t trying to be intimate with her, he was just checking to make sure she was okay. I could tell Zariah didn’t really like that he had to do what he did to her, but it was necessary. When she was feeling sick while paying the bill, I had Aelia and Ayella comfort her. Zariah doesn’t understand that I try to take as much of the nausea as I can to help her, but I can only lighten the feeling just a little. I just want to hold her all the time because I can feel how sick she is feeling. She hasn’t been eating too much. I guess that is expected from the morning sickness, as she calls it. I wish it only lasted in the morning though. She explained why it got called morning sickness as best she could. She made me promise not to force her to eat everything on her plate of food. She promised she would eat as much as she could and when she felt better, she would eat something then. I compromised with her on that. She has been sticking to her word and eating when and what she can. She has been more thirsty than hungry. I’m glad she has been napping when she can. She was a little too tired yesterday and just wanted me to hold her. I would have carried her around in my arms if that meant she would sleep. Holding her so she could nap was not an issue at all. She ate the pizza more than what she ate at lunch yesterday. I think it is probably because of the breading, or pizza dough that she said was like bread. I heard what Gavin’s mom suggested to her. We ordered a lot of things from their food shop, and I’m glad that they were willing to adjust things for her. She ate almost the whole cinnamon roll, as she called it. I can’t blame her for not finishing it though it was big. I enjoyed finishing it for her. Zariah has also been buying as many movies, television shows, books, and music she can. She is calling them digital libraries and has plans to spread them throughout Zare for everyone to enjoy. Lily and Alex have been helping her with that the most. She got a few sizes of televisions to take back with us to be duplicated. She also bought a few laptops, and things called tablets, as well as cellphones. Well, she had Xander purchase them because he is more tech savvy, as she called him. Kayne said that we should be able to accomplish what Zariah is asking with these electronic devices she is getting. The furniture arrived while she was napping. We all got together and began shrinking it all to fit into a few of the bags that we will bring back to Zare. We helped Xander and Alex bring in the new furniture for the house. They got something for each room. The furniture delivery men even took some of the furniture they replaced with them. I guess they had a program where you could donate your old furniture to people in need. Xander is keeping the chair we sat in last night. He plans to put it in his room. He got more furniture, but not too much, because he really likes what Oria and the others have been able to create when we were in Vedan Forest. Zariah picked out some furniture for the office so she could rest more comfortably the farther along she gets, and for our room. She is planning on having chairs made for the throne room for anytime we have guests, events, or whatever, so not everybody has to stand the whole time. “Hey Caedan, Gavin just texted he’s on his way with the delivery and will be here in twenty minutes. Zariah should be woken up before then, but let her get as much more sleep she can until then.” Xander said. “Alright, I will let her sleep another ten minutes. That way she has time to get up and begin to get herself ready some.” I replied. He nodded his head. “Are you ready for this?” I asked. “Yes and no. I’m more nervous because my parents will see me change too. Dusk is going to hold up a towel to cover my nakedness as best she can. I think Kindra and Avala are going to do the same for Kayne and Kalan. If we didn’t feel this house was small right now, it is about to get smaller,” he said and laughed. I laughed too because he was right. Zariah got dressed for tonight. She chose some very dark blue jeans and a shirt that was very colorful. It complimented her hair. She chose to wear a pair of shoes that looked similar to her sneakers, but they weren’t called that. She is wearing my ring, and she is wearing a nice bracelet, necklace, and earring combination that has many rainbow-colored stones in them. They weren’t all exactly what stones and gems we have on Zare, but still very pretty. They had shapes Zariah said humans call a heart on each piece. Her sisters fixed her hair into different braids that just made her look like the queen she is. I hope she got enough sleep and doesn’t get too tired as I plan on making love to her again tonight. I can’t help it. I want her all the time, not that I didn’t before, but the need has increased. She told me it is probably because her smell changed some and may continue the further along she gets. She says it is normal from what she has learned. We just finished carrying in everything we ordered in Gavin’s shop. “Gavin, can I talk to you?” Zariah asked him. “Sure, what’s up?” He asked. “I have something very serious I need to talk to you about. We all do. What we are about to say and show can be incredibly shocking, so please have a seat and get comfortable. I just don’t want you to fall and hurt yourself. I also ask that you just hear us through. What we say may sound crazy, but it is true, and we can prove it.” Zariah told him. Gavin took a seat on the couch next to Lumina. “First things first, I want to ask how you feel about my sister Lumina. I don’t mean to pry into your personal affairs, but in this instant I’m afraid I need to. I wouldn’t do so otherwise.” She said. “I don’t know. I can’t explain it, but all I can think about is her. It is like I was just moving through my life before yesterday.” Gavin said. “Do you want to be with her in a relationship?” Zariah asked. “Umm, yeah, but I don’t want to rush her.” He said. Lumina grinned and grabbed his left hand in her right. “I want to be in a relationship with you too. However, what my sister says next, and I say, it can be difficult if you are not ready, I will understand.” Lumina said. Zariah nodded at what Lumina said. “Okay, so as you know, I found my family. Did you hear what I was telling Rachel and Karen before you got closer?” She asked. He shook his head. “What I was explaining to them is that I found my family overseas and that they are royal. I married Caedan, who was a prince, but since marriage he and I are now king and queen.” Zariah explained. Gavin’s eyes widened at that. He turned slightly to Lumina. “You are a princess?” He asked her. “No, she is not anymore. You see I lied a little to Rachel and Karen. I didn’t find my family overseas. This is the part that can be too crazy to believe, but it is true. I found them on a different dimensional realm of existence. I was destined to be high queen of this world and my sisters are all high queens of their kingdoms. Lumina is a high queen,” Zariah told him. Gavin looked Lumina up and down and then looked at each of the queens. “Uh, umm okay you said you could prove this?” He said a little shakily. “We can, but first I want to tell you the story of this other world. I will say right off the bat that magic does exist just so you don’t get shocked after probably right now.” Zariah said. His eyes shot at Zariah when she said magic. We all took turns telling him all about Zare and what happened recently. He took it rather well. He was surprised to learn I was part vampire and that werewolves existed among other things. “Now that we told you what happened, I will prove to you what we say is true. What do you think you can handle seeing first, the magic, the dragons, or the wolves?” Zariah asked him. “The magic I think.” He responded. “Lumina, you start.” Zariah ordered her. To his credit, he only moved back from her ever so slightly when she conjured her light magic in her hand. “Can I touch it?” He asked. “Yes.” She said and smiled. He carefully reached out and touched the sphere of magic in her hand. “It’s so warm.” He commented out loud. All the sisters showed him their magic in whatever form. Most of them showed him spheres, but Stowne created vines into a nice bowl. Hayze pulled the shadows to surround us from the corners of the room. Even Alex and Lily were impressed. “You have to follow us to the kitchen for this next part,” Zariah told him. “Please sit at the table. Again, I don’t want you to hurt yourself if the dragons are a little overwhelming.” Zariah commanded him. It just came naturally to her. When he sat, we joined hands and manifested Aelia and Ayella in their translucent forms first and then made them tangible. I told them not to roar beforehand because we didn’t want to scare him and draw attention from homes nearby. “You can touch them this one time if you like.” I told him. He approached them carefully and slowly extended his hand to touch Ayella first with his right hand and then Aelia with his left on their snouts. “You’re so beautiful, so amazing.” He whispered to them. “You can come back into the living room and the guys can show you their wolves,” Zariah told him. Xander changed first into Deyax. Dusk helped cover him as best she could. Lily and Alex were shocked at him. He did try to prepare them, but I don’t think you can really prepare anyone for something like this. He sat between them so they could touch him. Kayne and Kalan changed next together. Then the three of them sat in the middle of the living room with Deyax in the center. “They are amazing too,” Gavin remarked, with a little excitement in his tone. Xander, Kayne, and Kalan went into Xander’s room to change back and get dressed. They put their clothes to go out in there so they could get ready after they changed. “So, now that you have heard and seen everything that we can right now. Do you have anything to say or ask?” Zariah asked him. He laughed a little and said, “Well, now I know why most of you didn’t know what a brownie was.” Zariah laughed and we joined in. “The reason we told you and showed you all this is because Lumina wants you to come with us to Zare. You can’t tell your family about us or anyone, for that matter. It will also probably be painful to have your blood awoken, but this is the only way to be in a relationship with Lumina. If you choose to remain, Kayne will alter your memories of this explanation and Caedan will glamour you too if needed to forget everything. It is a lot to ask and on such short notice, but I promise if you choose to come it is worth it.” Zariah told him. “You can tell them Zariah offered you a job to be the baker in her castle and you can’t pass up the opportunity because it will set you up in life, or something like that.” Xander suggested. “That is a good idea, Xan. However, I will hire you to be my baker. You have to adjust to the fires used there, but it is pretty easy. I can make a lot of things, but you can make so much more and probably better. You can also say the reason it is so immediate to leave is because we are having a Christmas gathering and I could really use your services. If you choose to go,” She said. “Please come with us,” Lumina pleaded. “I have never felt this way about anyone before. I feel like I was meant for you.” She confided and her face turned a little red in her confession. “I, well I. What if you don’t like the way I kiss?” He blurted out. “What if you don’t like how I kiss?” Lumina countered. Before she could say anything more, he reached up and cupped her face with his right hand and moved close to her face and kissed her. Almost immediately, Lumina grabbed the back of his head to pull him in closer. Zariah and I chuckled on the inside. We knew that he is most likely coming with us. We could see the sparks of lightning going off as they kissed even though they were not visible. You can feel it too, in a way. We all tried not to look too much so they didn’t feel stared at. Zariah let them kiss for a couple more minutes before she cleared her throat loud enough to get their attention. “Yes,” Gavin said, as soon as he sucked in some air. Lumina laughed and we did too. “Excellent,” Zariah said. “Are you coming with us to dinner?” Lumina asked him. “I’ll go anywhere you are.” He replied and smiled. “I have something you can probably change into.” Xan commented. They went into Xan’s room and came back a few minutes later. “Have you decided what to say to your parents?” Zariah asked him. “I think I will go along the lines of it being a job. I can just tell my parents it would be too expensive to call or text, and that internet isn’t the best there, so they may not hear from me for a couple of months at least. I hope I can come back though to visit them in a couple of months, so they won’t worry.” He said. “We can arrange that. I suggest tomorrow morning you come so we can do the blood wakening. Then you can go pack in the evening. Maybe take some directions from Zariah and Xander on what to bring.” I commented. He nodded his head. We went to a place Zariah called a steakhouse for dinner. Things were absolutely delicious. I had to glamour the man at the door to the club for the rest of us. We paid handsomely for entrance. It looks like they fixed the place up nicely after my father’s warriors caused chaos and destruction. Zariah, Xander, and Gavin helped guide everyone on the alcoholic drinks. They decided to try something called shots first, which I partook too. Zariah ordered something called ginger ale. She said it would help with her nausea. She said it is good in general when not feeling well. Xander grabbed Zariah and Dusk’s hands and practically dragged them to the dance floor. We all followed suit quickly except for Gavin and Lumina. They were sitting at the table we chose and looked like they were just talking. Xander was dancing with the ladies in an almost circle to each other. I came behind Zariah and slid my hands around her waist. She turned and put her arms around my shoulders to pull herself up and kiss me. I let her go and we joined Dusk and Xander in dancing. The other queens were enjoying themselves dancing. Stowne, Mistral, and Hayze joined in a circle to dance with us. They would move between us and Kindra, Kayne, Avala, Kalan, Aquara and Jarrett’s dancing group. I could see men and even some women staring at the sisters, especially. A small group of about four men approached us when the music slowed. Three of them asked to dance with Stowne, Mistral, and Hayze. The fourth man asked Zariah before I could pull her into my arms. “Sorry no. I am going to dance with my husband.” She told him. “Who him?” The man pointed to me as he asked. Zariah nodded. “Baby you could do so much better than him.” He remarked. “Really and who could I do better with?” She asked him. “Me, of course.” He said and smirked at her. I was starting to get angry. Zariah laughed. “Oh, baby, I can tell you are nothing compared to him. Maybe some other woman would fall over themselves for that cheap pick-up line, but not this one.” Zariah told him. I smiled at her. “B*tch.” He responded and shoved her shoulder. Oh, that was it, I thought. Before I could move, Zariah snatched his arm and twisted it around and behind him. Kayne, Xander, Kalan, Jarrett, and I made a wall behind her. “Do not ever touch me again. For that matter, don't ever touch another woman again without their permission, or men. You do not have the right to do so. You are lucky I don’t break your arm.” She said low enough but menacingly in her tone to show she meant it. “You mean getting those guys to break it, don’t you?” He sneered at her. We all took a few steps back away from her and shook our heads at him. Zariah chuckled. “No, I mean me. None of them would want to take me on in a fight.” She said as she squeezed, and I heard a crunch over the music. I think she broke a couple of fingers to prove her point. Two security men approached her and the man. “What is happening?” The one with brown hair asked. “This a**hole decided he could shove me because I didn’t want to dance with him and just my husband. I reacted to protect myself and my baby.” Zariah said. The man’s eyes widened, and his face went a little white when she said baby. “Yo, you’re pregnant?” He asked shakily. “Yes.” She replied. “What would you like us to do, ma’am?” The same security man asked. “I would have you call the police for assaulting me, but I just want to enjoy my evening with my husband and family and friends. I think he has learned his lesson, but he may need to go to the hospital as I may have broken a couple of fingers in my defense.” Zariah explained. The security guys looked shocked at that, and you could see them trying not to laugh, which they failed at. “This small pregnant woman put you in this position and broke your fingers? Am I hearing this correctly?” The same security guy asked the man. The man couldn’t do anything and just nodded. “Give him here, ma’am, and we will see he gets sent to the hospital to have himself looked at. Please enjoy the rest of your evening.” He told her. “Thank you,” Zariah replied as she began to hand the man over. She pulled his arm up a little more before she handed him over. The security men looked at her, raising their eyebrows questioningly. She looked at them. “To make sure he has learned his lesson.” She said so sweetly and matter of fact. They both nodded at her and began laughing all over again. We had attracted a crowd, and everyone applauded as he was taken away. His friends were standing with her sisters, and they were applauding and laughing too. I don’t like that Zariah had to exert herself, but she needed to teach the man a lesson he will not soon forget about respecting people, especially women. Gavin and Lumina had joined us when Zariah was holding the man. He had a look that said he was impressed with what he saw. She realized Gavin saw when she turned towards us. “Oh Gavin, I’m sorry I didn’t mean for you to see that side.” She said. “Why not that was kicka**.” He commented. She smiled. We quickly went back to dancing and enjoying ourselves. Zariah could only dance for a couple more songs before she needed a break. She was feeling queasy. I could feel. We went to sit at the table, and she slowly drank her ginger ale, and I had a couple of beers. We just sat and watched everyone dance and we talked to each other using our ability to communicate telepathically. She told me I could go and dance if I wanted to. She said she would be back out dancing soon. She was just making sure her queasiness was under control, so she didn’t have to run to the bathroom to be sick. I told her I could wait too. We spent the rest of our time at the club dancing. It was a lot of fun. Xander didn’t drink, so that he could drive too. We were all pretty drunk by the time we got back to Xander’s home. I have still been far more drunk off Gradia ale, but there were a few drinks I had tonight that had a chance of giving Gradia ale a challenge. Zariah used the bathroom in the house before climbing into the van with me. I had stripped and was already lying on her bed. She smiled with a lustful look on her face as she looked at me. I grinned and quickly moved to my knees on the end of the bed in front of her. I kissed her. I then decided to help her remove her clothes. “I hope you have a little energy left,” I said in my mind to her. She smiled. That was all I needed. I quickly lifted her off her feet and placed her on the bed. I was careful with her, so I didn’t make her nauseous with my movements. She looked up at me, and I claimed her lips in a searing kiss.
