It was almost lunchtime when Chloe and the men came back from the police station. This time, Chris and Rodney were seated in the dining hall with Aunt Sophia, enjoying the mangoes they had brought. They introduced themselves as neighbors who came to pay their respects to the people who moved in last night.
Candy and Tony were playing with legos in the living room as if they hadn’t made a ruckus earlier.
“Are you staying here for a long time?” Chris asked the old lady as he peeled a piece of apple. He was not a fan of sour things. So, after a few slices of mangoes, he had reached for something of his choice.
“Unfortunately, we’ll only be here for the next four or five days. My sons and daughters have careers. It’s already rare that we get to spend such a long time together,” Aunt Sophia
