On the balcony of his villa, Chris squinted at the direction where the SUV had disappeared from his sight. He had seen the trio got inside the car, making him wonder what was so important that all the adults needed to leave the children behind.
“Boss?” Rodney spoke.
He was telling Chris about the appointments that had been rescheduled and the projects that landed in Harold’s hands. Always on top of his game, he wanted to make sure his employer was aware of what was happening in Harrington Holdings despite his absence.
“Let’s talk about that later. Find out where they are heading.”
Sipping his freshly brewed Americano, he enjoyed the familiar view of the place, recalling the memories he had living as Levi. Fifteen minutes later, his attention was caught by the giggling of the children.
