Darkest night
Rebecca wiped the beads of tears forming on her head as she worked tirelessly serving the crowdy bar filled with old aged men drinking to stupor.
It's evening and it is their daily routine to be there by that's time, when workers have retired for the day.
"One glass of beer, sexy! " One of the men stared lustfully at her.
She rolled her eyes sharply at him walking in frustration and she went to take his order.
"Workaholic! I will take it from here, you look like a ghost right now " Britney laughed as she entered through the back door hanging her bag on a nail to take the tray from Rebecca.
"Thank you Brit, you are such a blessing.." Rebecca breathe out.
Ever since fhe demise of her parents, all changed drastically as reality hit her so hard. Her aunt took her in.
It became more unbearable. All this while, Britney had been a friend right from high school days, always helping her in one way or the other.
"Give me a phone call when that witch tries to act up again, I will then visit with my fork" Britney hissed as if she could see Stella.
"Cmon babe! She will be at work by now, I'll be good "Rebecca chuckled
"Okay then, Bye! " Britney smiled giving Rebecca a short peck on her cheeks.
The walk from the coffee shop to her house felt like eternity as the scorching sun dealt with Rebecca mercilessly. Her throat dried and she swallowed her saliva at intervals.
Sluggishly, she dragged her body to an old abandoned shop and laid on the floor using her faded pink bag for her head substituting for a pillow .

Rebecca slapped herself repeatedly trying to kill the mosquitoes piercing her skin.
"Ouch! " She cried as the last bite sent shockwaves to her skin.
Almost immediately, she opened her eyes rubbing it with the back of her palm to see clearly. Her eyes widened when she saw how dark it had become. She took her phone and a loud gasp escaped her lips.
"7:33?!! No... No... No! It can't be... "
she picked up her bag running crazily, her legs almost kissing the back of her head.
Tears rolled down her cheeks when she imagined what the night would hold for her as usual. She got to her house.
She breathed in arranging her already scattered hair, opening the door slowly.
She tiptoed to her room but then the light suddenly came on making her come to her kneels and a round of laughter burst in the living room.
Raising her head slowly to speak, she met her aunt fierce eyes burning with hatred, looking at her as if she wanted to devour her and immediately a hand met with her face.
"And where do you think you are coming From? It is past dinner time. You expect us to be in hunger just because of your insolence?! " Stella yelled.
More tears ran down her face as she couldn't think of a meaningful sentence to come up with.
"Mom! You ought to know she went out with one of her oldies! ' Tiffany rolled her eyes hatefully at Rebecca as her sister chuckled beside her.
"I thought I talked to a human! " Stella yelled again.
"Mom,you should call a spade a spade. This witch here killed her parents with her badluck" Cherie said.
"Get me my whip! " she demanded as both girls ran,one towards the kitchen and another towards the direction of the balcony.
"Mum... Pl.... ease... I.. Sle..pt.... Off at... "
She hadn't finished when another slap met with her face.
"Do not call me that! I do not mother beasts! " Stella spat out.
"Here mom! " Tiffany and Cherie chorused as the brought out a whip
and a wooden spoon respectively.
Taking the whip from Tiffany, it's edge met with Rebecca's back as she rolled crazily on the floor like an earthworm.
She held her back and began trying to stand crying agonizingly but Tiffany pushed her back giving Cherie the access to hit her with the Wooden spoon .
She staggered and almost fell on Stella but Stella hit her with the whip again. It felt worse this time and her body had already turned red.
Something fell off the ceiling and they stopped walking towards the center of the living room and that gave her the cold opportunity to run out.
She did not look back, she heard peals of laughter from behind but she kept running. The cold did no good as it met with the sores stinging her painfully.
It had always been this way since her parents died in ghastly fire accident.
More tears poured out her eyes and she looked ahead seeing a bar not to far from her.
She sighed as it was not crowded unlike where she worked. It looked really expensive. She touched her back pocket and she could feel the money at her pocket.
She just wanted to drink letting go the pains and sorrows that had become her partner.

BANKS MANSION
(Noah's room)
" No stories Jasper... No stories! " One could hear the anger in his voice as he throw the phone on the wall giving it a hard c***k.
The veins on his hands could be visible as he tightened his fists gritting his teeth. Standing up from the chair in a swift, he wore his flip walking out of the house.
He met Alexander in the living room watching his favourite cartoon. Hearing footsteps behind him, Alexander turned sharply.
"Dad..." He mumbled and Noah stopper without turning back.
"Can I come with you? "He batted his lashes cutely and this time Noah had already turned to face him.
"You can't Sam. It's past your bed time ,upstairs! " He said in anger.
"But Dad.... " He tried protesting
"Now! " He yelled as Sam scurried upstairs crying silently.
"Put him to sleep ..." He said to the maid not sparing any glance at Alexander who is still on the stairs.
He entered his sea green GLE, driving like a maniac as people kept cursing at him. His mind was lost as he pondered on different thoughts.
Firstly, Who would dare steal from him? His mind went to Gwen and his fists tightened on the steering. " You are a loser Noah, get a life for yourself cos I have found one without you or your son".
He could remember Gwen harsh words that night as she rolled her luggage out of the old house threatening to be blown off anytime the wind comes.
Despite the pleadings from the 3 year old Alexander, she still left. He held the tears that were about coming down his face.
He drove roughly into the parking lot and came down. The luminous sign board shone brightly as 'spears bar' could be seen even from a distance.
He walked in and settled down on a chair. "5 bottles of beer! " He said to the waiter who went to bring his order.
He looked around and his eyes fell on drunk Rebecca who was blabbing to herself. He looked away and started drinking from a bottle.
"More! " He said when he had finished the five bottles and was already dead drunk. He was given and he resumed drinking as if his life depended on it.
Rebecca staggered towards the restroom and he saw her.
"Gwen..... " He mumbled and he stood up going back and front ,his head spinning .
The door knob opened but Rebecca was busy puking inside the sink. She didn't notice him. He entered holding the wall for support.
"Who..... a...... re.... yo.... u? " Rebecca smiled drunkenly as soon as she saw him.
"Why ....are..... you.... he.... re? " He said senselessly rolling his eyes.
"I should... Sh....ould be asking that.. " Rebecca replied and took a step closer smirking funnily.
"You're hot! " She said with a sly smile. Noah returned the smile and took his hand off the wall. He is staring at her drowsily, his lashes going lower on her.
She held his face and began caressing it when Noah's hand grabbed her.
His lips pressed on her own hard and her hard to stand on her toes to match his height.
Both are crazy and unaware of what is going on right now but maybe they want something to take their minds off what's eating them up, and this is the only available one right now.
This is it. This is fate.
