My Lost Mate

*Tess* "Leave me alone please... am sorry I didn't do anything, please" I pleaded. "you gotta wake up Tess this is just a dream," I told myself. The shadow from the corner laughed menacingly... I couldn't make out his face but his voice was scary. I shut my eyes immediately hoping this will all stop. But his voice kept ringing in my head.. "you're nothing Tess, just kill yourself you don't deserve to live.... you're nothing nothing nothing" then it faded away... I woke up sweating profusely and breathing heavily in the basement. The Alpha always reminded me " this is where you belong, you're nothing bitch... nothing but a pathetic human"... these were the very words he repeated every single day of my living body. I wish I could die so I don't have to feel all these emotions... I know these feelings are not supposed to be new but they feel fresh every day. It's 3:00 am, I clean my sweat with my clothes and my dried tears, fold the worn-out foam I call a bed, tidy up the basements. My hair is all over the place and I haven't taken a bath in a month, I braid my tangled hair and rush upstairs to clean up before everyone wakes up. But before leaving the basement I heard a voice in my head.
