" Milo but what do we do? where should we start picking up the pieces? Everything's kinda mixed up. With the rogues attacking and that maniac alpha of the Lunatic pack (Pack of rotten rogues). And the exciting thrill of finding our mate. Everything is just so fast and there are lots of things to think about.But the true fact Is: we will always love our mate no matter what. Right Milo??" I asked as I communed with my wolf. "Milo?? Milo You there??" I asked in panic. "Yes Yes am here. I can hear you. I was just lost in my own thought." Milo replied me with the rolling of his wolfish eyes.

"Stop stressing Andre, if you're disturbed I can feel it and it's really annoying.. so just calm down and relax let's sort this out calmly like two grown adults.. Okay??" Milo complained acting like a human.

"Nah you're the animal while am the adult so dont count yourself as one.." I teased Milo.

"But at least I think more like an adult while you reason like an animal" Milo replied smartly. "Ok ok fine fine. Let's just think together and figure this out." I gave up before we could continue our bickering. But Milo who always wanted the be the last one to talk couldn't keep his mouth shut and instead replied " Now your reasoning more like a grown adult, am proud of you men" I rolled my eyes visibly and we just stayed silent.

Ok ok let's start by recalling her scent Milo began pacing in my head. She did smell like human at first but her scent never disgust us. It calms us down instead.

"Ofcourse it will calm us down milo, she's our mate; she can never smell awful she smells sweet." I replied with a dreamy expression.

Yeah yeah I know Andre. You're right. But that day she smelled like a wolf. I can't really pinpoint it. But Andre she smelled powerful. Her aura was strong but right now I dont know. I just can't feel it anymore.

"Milo let's not think too far about aura. Our mind was kinda foggy so let's remove that day out of our list." I replied to milo who just sighed.

"But milo she said she can't remember anything about her past life before finding herself in the silver moon pack. And remember Jay said something about a different smell from her normal human smell.The smell is faint that's why it's not too noticeable.

What if we just ask her? Do you think she'll tell us?" I asked milo.

What about damien. Jay hasn't really briefed me on what happened. And we've been spending time with our mate that we forgot about pack duties. There are alot of paperwork piling up everyday that still need to be completed and alot of meetings we postponed because our mate was still in the hospital.

I love spending time with mate Andre and I dont regret it. Milo whined like a child. Ofcourse I dont regret it. I love our mate so much but we have to complete this stuff and get our wits together.

"Jay Come to my office this minute." I mind linked Jay.

****Knock knock knock*****

Wow He knocked for the first time. Milo said in a surprised tone. I chuckled and answered Come in.. in a low tone.

He entered and walked to me. He looked serious and said

" Alpha am really sorry for the way I spoke about Luna earlier. I know I was wrong and I had no right. I was scared of what happened to damien and I was just overthinking stuff. Am really sorry about my disrespectful behavior towards you and the Luna. And I can never take our friendship and brotherhood for granted. Neither will I throw our bond to the mud." He finished his little speech and looked into my eyes. While he spoke I saw sincerity in his eyes and honesty in his words. I stood up and hugged him which he hugged me back. He is my brother from another mother and I love him.

Damn Jay that was one hell of a speech. Am not angry with you anymore. Now enough with the formalities let's talk and think together. He gave me a toothy grin, threw himself on my couch and dropped his legs on my table.

I shaked my head and said to myself; the old jay is back again.

So what have you found out about Damien... I asked Jay who instantly regained his posture and became serious again.

"Mmmm according to what we found out from some pack members and damien. Luna was maltreated in the pack house. For some unknown reason Nick left her to stay in the pack house and do the chores. she slept in the basement.He had the liberty to throw her out of the pack or kill her but his wolf wouldn't let him and looks like he doesn't know why either. We found out Nick abused our Luna..."Milo wanted to take control because of what Jay said concerning abuse, Jay noticed my inner turmoil and helped me calm both my wolf and I by clarifying his statement.

"Andre he didnt abuse her physically but emotionally." That's still not okay.. Milo growled out. "I know I know its wrong for Nick to do such a thing... But you have to let me finish okay? " I lifted my hands to signal him to continue.

"So Nick abused her emotionally but asked Damien to abuse her physically...." This statement only successfully made me mad and hate damien more for touching my mate with his filthy hands.I balled my hands into fist. wanting to punch something. Jay who was oblivious continued.. "He didnt really always get the chance to do so. But he always threatened to make her life miserable. I also found out she always screamed in her sleep , something about Nightmares. So Nick always made sure to shut her up and call her names. I also found out from our sources that some wolves were scared of her. Some didnt look at her, some liked her but couldn't say or do anything. Nick confirmed the faint smell underneath her human smell.

And the last overwhelming thing is that Damien wrote in a piece of paper that Tess made him dumb,deaf and crippled. He said she was a witch and she made his life useless. He wrote on the walls that he would kill her. He's really scared of her when he hears her name and yet he threatens to kill her. Ahh such a coward.." Jay completed.

"How dare he threaten our mate" I asked out loud. Jay chuckled and said " Easy dude, he is locked up and can't do anything besides he is crippled and Luna did a good number on him"

I visibly relaxed. "But how's that even possible. How can she do that? I mean has this ever happened before?"

"But Andre even if she did it, remember he beat her to coma, she almost died." Jay reasoned. My blood boiled at the thought of my mate dying. Relax Andre I said Almost.. Jay said immediately to calm me down.

"I'll just ask my mate what happened to hear her own side of the story." I told Jay who nodded in understanding. I stood up as Jay was taking his leave but not before giving him a bro hug. "Thanks Jay for everything." "No problem Alpha am here for you always." He smiled back. I then smacked his head.

"Awww Andre what was that for? I thought we were having a bro moment..."Jay faked an annoyed and hurt look.

"You broke two rules of mine. You sat down without permission and flinked your legs on my table. You deserve another sm..a..." I didn't finish what I was saying as Jay ran out my office giving me a Punch before running like fire was on his ass. I laughed out loud and mindlinked him with a growl "You better run as fast as you can and make sure to lock your room tonight and sleep with one eye open because you might not see tomorrow's sun" I felt his fear through the mind link and chuckled at his childish behavior.

I left my office and jogged to my room to see my beautiful mate. I just hope I understand what's happening to her. Me too Milo concurred.
