Chapter 10 Tom could not quite believe what he had just seen and, as he left the room where Irene lay, he had to stop and lean against the wall. Frank looked at him slumped against the wall and said, “Pretty tough, eh, seeing someone like that. I thought it might shake you, so I brought some whiskey.
