The French police had arranged plainclothes surveillance with Avignon, so descriptions of Pat, Sheila, Suszanna, Mike, John and Robert, with details of what they were wearing, would be sent over in the morning. Harry Lloyd’s description would also have been sent and four of the most experienced plainclothes officers had been allocated to shadow him.
