Chapter 4 Sold Out

1166 Words
Alicia felt a sudden pain in her chest and arched her body, looking at Charles in surprise. He had just bitten her, leaving a mark on her tender skin. He gently touched the bite mark, feeling her heartbeat underneath. Alicia was dazed for a moment, as she unexpectedly saw tenderness in this man's eyes, as if she was his love. Who did she remind him of? But quickly, the emotions in his eyes disappeared, replaced by indifference. Just when Alicia thought he didn't want to continue and she was about to figure out what else to do, Charles suddenly held the back of her head and kissed her lips forcefully. It overwhelmed Alicia, making her head spin. Just as things were about to get out of control, a ringing tone interrupted them. Alicia immediately opened her eyes and flinched. Charles held her in his arms and calmly picked up the phone. Noah's voice came from the other end. "Uncle Charles, where are you? I met my mom, and she said she couldn't find you anywhere." Alicia's breath hitched and she didn't dare to move. Charles buried his face in Alicia's neck and spoke with a hoarse voice, "I'm busy right now. You guys can go back first, don't worry about me." Noah, being quite the player, immediately sensed that something was off with Charles. He teased, "Mom even said you're not interested in women. Uncle Charles, you've hidden your feelings well. Who's the lucky lady that made you so eager that you'd neglect your sister?" Charles looked at Alicia's watery and affectionate eyes, smiling ambiguously. Alicia was still a bit scared but leaned in to kiss him, silencing him. On Noah's end, hearing the noises on the phone, he coughed and hung up. He found the moaning sound familiar yet strange at the same time. ... Not long after hanging up, Charles let go of Alicia. He did have something to attend to later, and if he wanted to do the whole thing with Alicia, it would take a lot of time. But apart from the final step just now, he had done everything he needed to. Charles wasn't one to take advantage for nothing. He said, "You don't need to worry about the hospital. Just wait for the news." Alicia's limbs felt weak as she dressed and thanked him. After a pause, she asked, "Mr. Lawson, do you often help others like this?" Charles threw the question back at her, "Miss Harrison, do you often seek help from others in this way?" Alicia choked. She understood what it meant when a man stopped abruptly in the middle of s*x. She wouldn't push Charles further and get out of the car. Charles's gaze fell on her face, "Miss Harrison, until we meet again." Alicia's emotions were complicated as she watched him leave for a long time. Would they ever meet again? "Alicia." Suddenly, Amelia's voice came from behind, "Who was that?" Alicia frowned and turned to look at her, "You don't need to know." Amelia smiled sweetly, "Is he your friend? You two spent quite a while in the car. It couldn't have been just a simple chat, right?" Alicia walked past her, coldly saying, "Next time, if you happen to encounter him, I'll let you sit in the passenger seat and have a good look. How about that?" Amelia pouted, tears welling up, "Alicia, are you still mad at me? What happened between me and Noah was an accident. You know his status. If I refused him, he wouldn't have let me off easily." Alicia laughed, "You don't need to explain this to me. I'm not interested in him. He’s all yours if you want." Amelia realized her futile efforts and couldn't help but feel frustrated. Alicia was superior to her in every way, even catching the eye of someone like Noah, a wealthy young man. Amelia was consumed by jealousy. She took Noah away, hoping to embarrass Alicia, but instead, Alicia ended up with an even more powerful person. The car she saw just now was incredibly luxurious. Alicia must have got that by selling herself, right? Amelia followed Alicia home, still wearing a gentle smile on her face. "Alicia, Noah said he would cover Mom's medical expenses. You don't have to work so hard to earn money." Alicia nodded, "Yeah, you've worked hard. He should contribute the money after all the effort you put in to please him." Amelia was taken aback, realizing she had been outsmarted. She gritted her teeth and said with a teary voice, "Alicia, don't be jealous, please. Noah's family holds power, and he likes me. I have no choice." Alicia didn't want to see Amelia's hypocritical face any longer. She walked into the house and slammed the door shut just as Amelia was about to enter. The hard door hit Amelia's nose, causing her immediate pain. After briefly covering it, she rubbed her nose and muttered curses under her breath, careful not to let Alicia overhear. She took out her phone, snapped a few pictures of her injuries, and sent them to Noah, complaining about Alicia's "violent acts" while sobbing. Noah didn't reply immediately, but when Amelia exaggeratedly described Alicia getting involved with a wealthy sugar daddy, Noah called her back in a minute. "You saw it with your own eyes?" Noah's hand holding the phone clenched tightly with veins bulging. Without hesitation, Amelia answered, "The car was shaking violently, and when Alicia got out, her clothes were torn. I advised her not to degrade herself like this, but she accused me of being jealous and hit me." Amelia wanted to vent about her grievances, but Noah had already hung up the phone. ... That night, Alicia got a call from Noah. Noah's tone sounded unsteady, clearly intoxicated. "Amelia said you found a sugar daddy recently and slept with him. Is it true?" Thinking about what he had done recently, Alicia felt both disappointed and amused. "Yes, you can cheat, so why can't I sleep with someone else?" Noah's breath was heavy as he slammed a glass onto the floor, and the sound of shattered glass accompanied his roar, "Alicia! I've been with you for so long, and you never even let me touch you. Don't you have any idea how well I've treated you all this time? And now, you just sleep with some random guy!" The memories of their once warm and sweet relationship now seemed ironic and ridiculous. True love, thoughts of marriage--they were all defeated by carnal desires. Alicia felt bitter inside but smiled as she reminded Noah, "You were the one who abandoned this relationship first. You can sleep with my sister who I hate the most without a second thought. What's wrong with me having a taste of s*x with someone more handsome than you?" She was about to hang up when a familiar voice approached from a distance. "Noah, what's going on here?" Alicia froze, her heart fluttering. It was Charles.
