The Rooms

CHAPTER 2

The unexpected drop didn’t surprise me all that much. I stare blankly into the room I might enter at the end of this slide, but it takes a while. When I finally find my footing on solid ground, I seem to face a wall.

As I turned around, my eyes grew in horror. There’s a pool with electric eels. Like, these are just water snakes that electrocute you. This is bullshit.

The voice on the intercom came back on again. “ You must reach the other side within 30 minutes or you’ll die thanks to some toxic gas. Good luck”. This room, it’s just the other rooms combined into one. What kinda monster made this s**t? Not even I could come up with this.

A demon from hell, with 6 million years of torture in their hands, wouldn’t have come up with this. I slowly looked around, seeing a ladder on the ceiling. These people think I'm a ninja warrior or something? What the f**k is wrong with them?

I try my best to jump and get it and just about reach it with one hand. Hanging on for dear life, I slowly pull myself up so my other hand can grab hold of the bar. I climbed to the other side with no problem, but the door was locked.

I look down in the pool and see very sneakily that the electric eels are not real. This b***h didn’t tell me they were f*****g holograms or whatever.

In the middle of this fake pool I found a key.

Or rather, a bunch of keys. I started trying them on the door. Key 1, and open. But of course, it wasn’t that easy, they made it like a f*****g loony tunes cartoon. Behind the door is another door.

“ Time is ticking out, you have got 1 minute left to escape your death” the voice says, scaring me a little by coming out of nowhere. I started to hurry through all the keys.

When I finally found the right key, I opened the door to another door. I started to sweat. The time was up. I noticed something odd about the doors. They have something engraved into them.

I quickly matched them up with their keys to see those keys were the answer. After that, I opened the next 2 doors, after which there was my freedom from that room. Right as I went out, the door shut behind me with a mighty sound, almost like the heavens falling down on the earth.

I ignore it and move on, to another door. This one has a skeleton on the knob.

I go through all the keys on the giant key chain but find none engraved with the same thing. I notice that the skeleton engraved into the door knob doesn’t have a head. I try the key with a skull and, unsurprisingly, the door opens so slowly that it feels like I am aged 60 years. After that, I finally entered the next room.
