What Happened!

Gael's POV I am standing in shock, the 11 families are standing around me. Lobos' body is on the ground with his head removed. Ivan who I thought was my half-brother was not. Indeed when Cacodemon killed him, the spell that had been placed on me was gone. My dad never made it to Russia. He was always at the castle, as the security head. The original memories replaced the ones the spell had pushed in my head. Jewel's Uncle is Cacodemon. That also has my mind blown. We did not know this, even the other heads who were here when her family was here did not know this. They are just as floored as the rest of us. Leon is the Lobos heir, we will have to show him the ropes to how this works. I was still in the total blowout of what happened with Lobos and Ivan. I know no one will go against Cacodemon. Nor will there be any issues from now to the Queen's crowning. "Jewel!" My attention was drawn to a woman tall, with a little bit more heft on her than you see in wolves. Running directly toward Jewel. Jewel was doing the same and running toward her. "Rachel!" They met and squealed as girls do when they say, "hi" sometimes. I directed some of my men to clear the bodies out and get ready for sparring matches. Having seen our Queen going toe to toe with the actual Nightbreed demon clicked in my head. The woman was just as badass as her guard. The number of trees the guys had knocked down in the short time we had been here was also a little put-off. "Jefé," I knew the voice that belonged to. My dad's second in command that I kept around. "Sí Pablo?" I looked at him to see he was watching Jewel closely. "Ella todavía está via," ("She is still alive, ") Palo muttered turning his attention to me. "¿Qué pasó con Lobos?" ("What happened to Lobos?") He asked looking back at me. "Cacodemon," I answered. Spanish, English, or whatever language that name said everything. "Cacodemon?" His eyes snapped to Jewel once more. "¿Cómo conoce Jewel a Cacodemon?" ("How does Jewel know Cacodemon?") Then he turned back to look at me. "El es su tio," I sighed. ("He is her uncle.") "¡¿Cómo?!" Pablo exclaimed. ("How?!") "No lo se." I shrugged. ("Don't know,") I had no idea how Cacodemon was her Uncle. He was thousands of years old. But, he had claimed to the protection of her and it showed that Ivan had known about it before us. Which tells me it was well before she came back to gain the crown. "We need to have another meeting, now that Lobos is gone we need to figure out how to proceed," Emiliano announced to the group. "There is nothing to proceed with. Cacodemon has placed protection on Jewel. It doesn't matter, what we do if it pisses him off he will wipe out whole bloodlines." Sául Coto said. "I plan to fall in line. No matter the reason they killed Mario, I will not risk the death of my family because of it." Diego Maroto had been pretty silent up until now. A majority of the men agreed with his statement. "Mario was a great King, but knowing who the new Queen to be had in her alliances I would not risk my family either." Gabriel Barboza nodded. "¡Todos ustedes son traidores a la vieja corona!" Pablo my second in command growled deeply as he stormed off forward the barracks compound. ("You are all traitors to the old crown!") All the family heads looked at each other. They said not a word. Anyone with allegiance to a dead man was not going to be with them. After what they saw today, nobody wanted to piss the new Queen off or try to kill her. "I shall confirm that the boy Leon is a Lobos. " I looked back up to see Jewel and Rachel still chatting away. I noticed that her brother Hawk and Tau were both watching us closely. Like they were checking to see if the families got the message. I nodded to them. "Leon!" I shouted. Leon popped up off the ground as he had been taken down during a sparring match while we talked. "What's up?" He asked jogging over to me. "I need to get you filled in on the Lobos family and assign you guards." I glanced back up to see, some of the werebears coming forward. "He has us to guard him," one of the big guys, massive and dark, who looked very close to the cursed were bears. "I have plenty to give him." I snapped back. "These are my brothers," Leon puffed. "Remember I grew up in the cursed bear household. I would rather them than your men until they are better trained." Leon managed to sound just like the old Lobos. That right there told me they were indeed family. "So be it then," I grunted. "Would you like to move to the old Lobos section of the castle?" "Yes, we will gather our things and move to that tomorrow. I need to tell Jewel we will be moving over." Leon turned and walked back toward the field. "What are you doing?" I hollered back. "I am training! There is a dragon threat!" Leon shot back like I was the i***t. Never in my life had my world been so off-center than now. I noted that this group is always trained. Probably why the Queen to be could last as long as she did against the demon. Why she survived the many attempts on her life. I needed to get my men in shape, and I needed to get a better plan together. If I didn't I may end up losing this position. The same position that had been in my family several generations. I could not let that happen. I needed to get a handle on this job and fast. I might have lost the Queen as a mate, but this job I couldn't. I needed to be as good as my dad. Perhaps I could find his journals. That may help me, keep what I had.
