I woke up to the sound of birds chirping. I smiled at the warm body pressing into me. The memories of last night floated back to me and my smile stretched into a full grin. I bent and placed a kiss on Sam’s head, laughing softly when she whined then turned over, hugging her pillow in her arms.
I carefully got out of bed and headed into the bathroom. I took a quick shower and got dressed in a basic t-shirt and jeans before heading downstairs. I wanted to make Sam breakfast before she got up.
