“You heard me. You’re going to be my new bodyguard.” Anika repeated, blinking innocently. I scowled at her act.
“You don’t need a bodyguard. You work in a tech company.” I pointed out, searching for any excuse.
“I don’t work at a tech company, Xander. I am the CEO of the second leading division of S Corp; a company that deals with the data of some of the biggest companies in the world. I’m worried someone might try to attack me to get to the company. I need a big, strong man like yourself to protect me.” Anika siad, holding her hand to her forehead in a damsel- in- distress pose.
I frowned and clenched my fists tighter.
“You can get someone else. You don’t need me.” I said through clenched teeth.
“No, I don’t. I simply want you. And what I want, I get.” Anika said, her smirk
