I felt jealousy swell up in my veins at the sight of Mack coming around the car to stand next to Sam, his eyes on mine; strong and unfazed.
“Where were you?” I asked, my voice coming out rough and possessive. I caught Sam’s head jerking back slightly at my words.
“I was out. What are you doing back so early?” She asked, walking closer to me.
“I got the rest of the day off. Why is he here?” I said, my voice rising as I fixed my eyes on Mack.
