Samantha My head hurt miserably as I pried my eyes open. I groaned quietly, turning my heavy head. My left eye stung and felt bruised when I reached a hand up to touch it. My right hand followed my left and that’s when I remembered. The zip ties. A van. Kidnappers. I jerked up, groaning at the movement as vertigo seized me momentarily. Light streamed in from windows high up, providing just enough light for me to take in my surroundings. I was in a large empty building with the exception of some broken chairs off to one end and piles of what looked like abandoned construction materials. The dark van I recognized sat in the middle of the warehouse along with another truck closer to the entrance. The cold draftiness lapped at my skin, seeping into my bones and I sucked in a hiss, shivering.
