Slave or Queen

Episode 4 - New Office

            It was not easy for my mother to accept the fact that I have to live separately due to my new job but she had to agree because of the poor situation of us. And the way I portrait the picture, she was under impression that I am going to work at marketing department in famous Hansan group. Honest fact is even I was not aware what is the exact job description of my work. “I have to work according to Boss’s requirement” this is the only thing went to my mind while I was reading the contract. Anyway there was nothing to argue on this opportunity as there is no other option left for me as most important thing is looking after my sick mother. My eyes got closed while I was recapping entire day in my mind.

“My dear Tania, please eat on time. Look after yourself and call me every day. I am very worried to send you away…..” My mother was full of tears in her eyes while saying good bye to me. I felt so bad that what a big lie, I said about my job. I never lied to her.

“Mum, not to worry. You know how brave and strong your daughter is……. I promised I will call you daily and I am seeing you on every Monday so relax… ummwah… Luv you mum and take care of yourself…” I did my maximum to make my mum comfortable in this situation.

After hugging her and saying good bye, I took the bag and went out to take a bus. I couldn’t go out from the door, Richard was standing out there. I was surprised to see him.

“Good morning Ms. Vandessay!!! I am here to pick you up. Let me to help you with bag. We need to be in office on time. There is bit traffic so better, we make it fast now….” Richard told everything in one breath and took my bag without even giving time for me to reply and he started to walk. He open the door for me and he didn’t speak one word until we reach to office. Even I looked at him to start a conversation, he just ignored me. Before I get down from car, he gave me company staff card which made for me.

“Ms. Vandessay, This is your staff card so you can use it go inside. I will drop your bag at Hansan residence. Have a nice day Ms. Vandessay… “Same as before, he just said all in one breath and got down to open my door.

“Thank you Mr. Richard… Have a good day!!! ” In return I also greet to him and went inside. I was bit nervous and I just avoided looking at other people and got in to elevator and pressed 4th floor. 

              I walked through the doors and went to reception. It was same receptionist who helped me to get this job. I felt bit relax. “Hi.. Good morning Ms.. I am Tania”

She looked at me and smile. “ Ah yes.. Ms. Vandessay… Very good morning!!!... Congratulations… I am Rose.” She introduce herself and it was warm welcome for me.

“Thank you Rose. You can call me “Tania”… I would like to thank you for this job because of you only I got the chance to get it. Really Thank you Rose…”

“No worries Tania. I am happy that I don’t have to do Boss’s work because he got you. Anyway your my saviour.. Come, I will show you, your seat…” Rose said and didn’t wait for my reply and escort me for my seat. I was confused about what she said and I felt bit fear as well. She took me through long corridor and few doors. And then we came to a big office space which has made in very artistic and luxurious way. I was surprised and shocked with the beauty of this place.
