I smiled; taking my hand out towards the boy’s arm, then going to his memories from his brain and made him forget everything that had happened to his older sister Cara from the past, then quickly walked out of his room without disturbing the little guy when he’s sleeping.
Quickly headed down the stairs to check with Mr. McCain. He was tired when I found him in the kitchen, He had his arm and hand on the top of the refrigerator door, with his head facing the inside of the fridge my guest looking for something.
“Are you alright dad, do you need any help with anything?” I asked him while still watching him. He tilted his head to me, nodded then grabbed what it looked like Pepsi or even coca cola, or even mix with both, yummy combination if I do say so myself.
“yeah just getting something to drink, I’ll share it with you, if you want some of it sweetie.” He invited. He then grabbed two glasses from the cupboards and filled one of them, I nodded; smiled to him and filled the other glass while Mr. McCain headed out of the kitchen with his drink, I took a sip- Pepsi mix with Coca Cola mm like I said yummy, I walked out of the kitchen and saw Mr. McCain sitting on the couch with his drink in his hand while sleeping, shocking my head with a smile on my face, walked up to him, carefully took his glass out of his hand, set both mine and his on the coffee table with their holder under them, picked up a blanket behind him slowly not to wake him up, from the back of the couch, to cover him up for warmth so he won’t catch a chill, picking up both the glasses; then headed back to the kitchen and put them in the sink.
when I went back to the living room, Cara’s father wasn’t sleeping on the couch where I had leaved him no surprising there of course since I knew where he went; upstairs in his room to sleep, when I was heading to the kitchen to put the drinks away Mr. McCain must have woken up and saw where he was then decided to head to his bedroom to sleep. shacking my head again smiling, walked up the stairs, walked up to Mickey’s room, opened his door, then walked in, without waking him; I went over to his window to make sure it was locked; went back out of little Mickey’s room closing the door, then went to Mr. McCain’s door, pause to listen, making sure he was fully a sleep then opened his door, walked in and headed to his window to make sure it too was locked before I head on out of Mr. McCain’s chamber, closed Mr. McCain’s door then headed to Cara’s old room to make sure her old window was locked, then take a little nap myself.
The next morning came and I didn’t think that I could fall asleep, but it turns out I did instead of taking a nap, well that was dumb of me, I got out of bed, and went down stairs to see who else was up, no one yet, I checked the clock from the stereo by the television, now I know why; eight forty-five am was the time, Go figure. Some people woke up early in the morning, some later in the morning, and others woke up later in the afternoon, so I decided to walk up to the couch, sat down and read a book called ‘Lady and the Vampire’ my guest this book was Cara’s way before she passed on; when I got to Chapter nine where Miss Elsie was helping around the Vampire’s castle; Mr. McCain was running out of his room, like he was being chase or was afraid of a big hairy spider or something, confused I looked at the clock from the stereo and figured out why, nine forty- five am.
Mr. McCain was almost late for work. Slowly shaking my head smiling while watching Mr. McCain running down the stairs two at a time, went to the kitchen, which my guess making some or getting his lunch; ten minutes later Cara’s Brother Mickey came down the stairs with something in his hand, he was holding a light brown teddy bear that he had from last night. Even for a ten-year-old, they would have something with them; cute (Cara must have had given the bear to him for his birthday or Christmas) Mickey came up to me with a cute smile being so happy and cheerful.
“Good Morning Cara. Did you sleep well?” he asked me in a cute little voice he could possibly can. I smiled to Cara’s brother, nodding to him; he sat right beside me on the couch, while I turned on the TV and changed the stations to put on cartoons for him; I got up from the couch, heading to the kitchen to get the little fella some cinnamon toast crunch for his breakfast, walked back to the living room setting his cereal bowl on the coffee table with a paper napkin under it, Mickey smiled than started eating, I sat back on the other side of the couch smiling to Mickey, then went back to finished chapter nine.
-brings back memories of the wonderful things I did for my younger sibling, my brothers and sisters with their meals and everything else that they wanted me to do for them while our parents were still sleeping or even at work-. watching the same cartoons with them, even though our own parents would say I’m getting too old for watching Cartoons, well tough even the cartoons, depending the ones that are not, or not even close too-are funny, silly, and even thrilling to watch.
After I had finished with chapter nine, I put the book mark on to that spot, then set the book back where I found it. Then started watching the shows that was on and that it’s gone a be on for a while now was Tom and Jerry shows; this one was about a magic ring that got stuck on poor Jerry’s little head, with all the Amusement playing on the show, mickey started laughing, all the way till he had moisture from his eyes; than the tears came, while still laughing like a hyena. Mr. McCain came from upstairs again, my guest just went upstairs and must have forgot to get something from in his room or something, took two stairs at a time again and was at the door in seconds while talking to us at the same time.
“Cara, Mickey I have to go to work now, I’m late and I know I’m gone a get it big from my boss, but let’s just hope I’ll get to keep my job. When I get back we’re all going to do some laundry tonight, our washer and dryer are still not working very well, gone a have to call the company again or I’m just gone a have to buy new ones, anyways see you both when I get home at six O’clock Sharp ok? Bye” Mr. McCain Shouted while told us.
“OK daddy, Bye!” Mickey called out to his father.
I smiled as Mr. McCain walked out shutting the door, turned my head to watched the rest of the shows, Mickey started finishing his Cereal, then later we watched another show of another Tom and Jerry, this one was about Jerry saving a poor little kitten that Tom got jealous of. Every show that we watched was about thirty mins each apart, different shows playing, but all of them were about Tom the cat and his play friend (that always tries to catch but never does) Jerry the mouse, about Jerry’s nephew, a baby duckling, a baby puppy to its siblings, to a big bulldog, with his son, and so much more.
Around twelve-thirty pm I got up, picked up Mickey’s child’s bowl, and went into the kitchen to make a turkey sandwich with mayo, cheese, and only three to five drops of mustered then spread it around the turkey slice for Mickey, since I knew he would be getting hungry soon, I wouldn’t want him to think he was forgotten and where he would think that I would make him go starve.
I grabbed a saucer from out of the cabinet to set the turkey sandwich on; cut the sandwich in half from one corner to the other, picked up the saucer; then headed it out to the living room with me, set it down in front of mickey on the coffee table for him to eat, I smiled as I gave it to him.
Mickey saw what I made for him, he had a big smile which went up to his eyes, Mickey picked the Saucer from my hand, and set it on the coffee table where his napkin was, he picked up one of the slices and took a bite out of his sandwich.
Mickey started eating his sandwich while I sat back down on the couch, the next show of Tom and Jerry started coming on, this was about the little duckling who wanted to go south to migrate with the other birds in the sky, but didn’t know how to fly so had to ask both Tom and Jerry, Mickey smiled at the show than took a glance to me still smiling, but then his smile faded, I glanced back to him with concern for him.
“What’s wrong Mickey?” I asked him.
“you’re not eating sis, I don’t want you to starve yourself, I don’t want to lose you either, please eat something for me; Please.” He asked even pleading to me; with tears coming out of his eyes.
“OK little buddy.” I smiled and laughed at the same time; “I’ll eat, when I’m ready to eat, or in a little bit OK?” I smiled to him,
hoping to cheer him up a little would help a bit, luckily it did because he smiled and nodded back to me. I sighed, things that I do for anyone or even everyone when their around me, and vice a Versa that wanted me to do for them.
After the last cartoon of Tom and Jerry show was over, I checked the clock on the stereo it was about three-thirty pm, I got up again to head to the kitchen to get the little man some milk; with a small cup of it, then brought it with me to give it to him.
“here you go Mickey some milk for you; I’ll be right back OK, I’m just gone a go back to the kitchen to make myself something to eat.” I told him without letting him really know what I was planning to do, which I’m still glad the woods are in the back yard, that’s about fifteen to twenty feet away from the house.
“ok Cara, hurry back, dad would be home soon.” He said.
I walked back to the kitchen heading to the sliding door, opened it silently making sure that Mickey couldn’t hear, closed the sliding door, then took off heading to the woods, looking back to make sure no one saw or was watching me, went into the woods.
Farther into the woods I go, the deeper I’m in so, no one would know what I’m doing in the woods in the first place, or wanted to call the cops to stop me and wanted to ask me questions for wanting to know what I’m doing and why I’m in the woods in the first place. especially when it’s close to being dark out and that I shouldn’t be out here where anyone would want to come up behind me and probably would want to hurt me, well I’m gone a make sure that I’m not too far from the house; where I wouldn’t be able to know, what’s going on or miss anything, not even if anyone would come to hurt Mickey; the poor kid who didn’t do anything, and that goes the same thing about his father, but still that’s not what’s gone a happened, those two would always be in trouble no matter what. even though they both didn’t do anything to get in to this mess; glad I’m working on this job or the girls’ parents every one of those fifteen girls’ families would be in trouble till their time was up; not on my watch. now that I’m here to take care of it, helping every single of these families that needed my help of saving them.
“OK let’s get this done and over with, so I could get back to the
house and protect Mickey and his Father.” I said firmly, instructing to myself that way nothing else would distracted me from this mission from our father in heaven wanted me to do; and I’ll make this my one hundred percent pirouette, getting all my work done so I could go back home with everyone back in heaven.
Wow this is the most beautiful place that I love seeing in the woods, even this place reminded me of the forest back at home, a beautiful waterfall that’s about eight maybe ten feet high, part of it is connected to a hill, and the water, flowing down from different types and sizes of boulders, in different ways going down to a medium oval size about fifteen feet in Leigh and twenty feet long, and nine to ten feet deep for a pond; a good size for about four maybe even six people swimming in it, and the pond which is attach to a stream that’s flowing down like a very long snake with few or more of rocks and thousands and thousands of pebbles in every direction in the stream.
the stream was about ten to twelve inches wide, just breath taking even a perfect place for a romantic jester or even a picnic with that certain someone you hope is the right one who cares about you and everything else about you, but I can’t just stop and keep looking at the scenery, I need to feed so I could get back before Mr. McCain gets back home from his work and finds out that I’m not there.
I kept going till I found a good spot, I stopped and used my powers to call out to whatever animal that is or would be in pain from a hunter or any predators. few moments later a male deer; who was four years old, just by counting his antlers, came up to me with good sides of scratches, from what looked like from a rifle bullet. Poor thing, glad I’m here for them as well and not just for the families I’m helping.
“it’s OK big boy I’m here to take care of you, where you don’t have to deal with the Pain that you’re in anymore. Come here big fella I’ll help you, you’ll be going to a better place, where I’ll be honor and happy to take you.” I told him while calming him down; he walked up to me, came up to me about a few inches or so from me, bending down till his whole body was laying on the ground waiting for me to give him that promise, that freedom from the pain he’s in. I bend to my knees, placed my hands on the deer, my left to his head, and my right to his shoulder blade; bend my head to his neck, sinking my fangs into the deer’s neck, and drank all the way till he was dried, but I didn’t stop there, I kept going till he was ashes to ashes, and dust to dust.
while I helped this poor thing from his misery, I’m pretty sure I felt something or someone watching me, moving my eyes only searching everywhere, hoping to find the location to where this watcher would be at, but instead of seeing where that person might be, I smelled something like pine or something and it’s coming from my right side; slowly got up from the ground started walking backwards, while keeping my eyes, hears, and my senses working overtime, if whoever is gone a come at me I will attack to defend myself in any way possible. Either way time to leave.
Turned around then started running all the way to Mr. McCain’s house and the sun was setting. When I got to the sliding door, I looked back, seeing no one following me, nothing. that tells me whoever was or still is in the woods didn’t come out which also tells me that it can’t, due to the sun light.
Opening the sliding door, stepped in the house, then closed the sliding door behind me, Mickey was still in the living room watching another Tom and Jerry show, this one’s showing Jerry as a Musketeer training the little mouse how to become one. Smiled walked in to the Kitchen making myself something to eat, which is also a turkey sandwich, with a few other items, I put in with my sandwich, grabbed the saucer out of the cabinet, taking my lunch with me to the living room with Mickey, as I sat on the couch I started eating my lunch or should I say snack when I glanced at the clock from the stereo again; it was four-thirty pm.
“What happened to you Cara? You took forever in the kitchen. Are you OK?” he asked me.
“sorry about that little buddy, I didn’t mean to take forever, I was just finding everything that I needed to put together, and make a perfect healthy sandwich for myself; that’s all.” Assuring to him so he won’t think that I wouldn’t come back for him and his father, well I can’t do that, it’s my job to watch for bad people; that would want to hurt these families; the girls back home in heaven wanted me to and are counting on me to save their families no matter what, and that’s what I promise them and I intend to keep my promise till the job is done; Which in my case when the last of the family from the last of the girl from in heaven is done.
This is my duty, this assignment and not letting everyone up in Heaven to be disappointed in me. Different cartons coming and going, this time wasn’t Tom and Jerry, Mr. Bugs with his friend Daffy, Daffy and the Mr. Pig, right before the show was about to start, I heard a car coming to the driveway, I got up off the couch, then headed to the window that shows the front yard to see who it could be. Mr. McCain came home from work, I scan his thoughts and memories, nothing happened to him from his job, well that’s good news to know and showed that he kept his job, that’s wonderful news and. (sigh unhappily) oh great; I wasn’t suspecting someone, which was one of his Co-workers would come up to him and talk kindly about his daughter. Great now I’m gone a have to explain who I am and why I’m here, and so on, and so forth; oh well might as well face the music. I knew that I would have to sooner or later, but I was really hoping the later part, or more like a lot later part, turned to head back to the couch with Mickey waiting for Mr. McCain to enter the front door.
The Front door opened and Mr. McCain walked in, I glanced to him again and tuck a hold of his brain and erased his memories about his daughter again till the time came for me to explain, then got out his head like nothing happened. Mr. McCain’s face was no longer in pain, confused, or even stress, looked up and smiled at us.
“hey kiddos, I’m home.” He said with glee.
“Daddy! welcome home daddy!” Mickey jumped off the couch, then ran up to him with a smile on his face.
I smiled back to Mr. McCain, got up from the couch. putting both Mickey and my dishes to the Kitchen, then went out of the kitchen, heading to the stairs, went up the stairs to get the laundry basket from the laundry room, then brought them down the stairs with me.
“ah yes. Thank you, Cara, for remembering that we all have to do the Laundry tonight. Mickey my boy, go on up those stairs to your room and get ready and don’t forget to put on your shoes so we could go before the place gets packed, since they stayed open for 24/7.” Mr. McCain asked his son. Mickey went upstairs to do as he was told so we all could get going soon.
“how was your day at work dad? did they let you get to keep your job? I did hope that you would keep your job dad.” I asked him, even though I already know the answer; though his daughter didn’t; I had to asked, that way Mr. McCain doesn’t looked suspicious or even concern about me not acting like his daughter the way she was supposed to act around him or Mickey.
“Yes Cara; I did get to keep my job, and I’ll keep working till I hit retirement which I know it’s coming soon, that way I could spend more time with my family. I do have enough money in the bank to live on for the rest of the years. how has everything been going on here at home. Has Lil Mickey giving you trouble, or any mystify to you again?”
Mr. McCain asked me. Well obviously, I didn’t know everything that’s been going on with every girl’s life when they were with their family before they went up to heaven. Great, now I’m just embarrass and fell unprepared for about everything, that’s just great.
“um, no not at all daddy, Mickey has been better now, not giving me any distressful or anything like that all day. I’ve been fixing his lunch for him, making him his favorite sandwich and gave him some milk, and he has been nice to me all day now” I informed him letting Mr. McCain be proud of his son.
“Well that is good news, now let’s get all our laundry in the car so we all could go to the laundry mat, and get our clothes done. Mickey, are you getting ready, we have to go.” He called out to his son letting the silly boy know that he’s out of time getting ready.
“Coming Daddy.” Hearing a door open than closed, then footsteps thumping on the carpet like elephants, running to the Hall from upstairs; to the top of the stairs coming down still holding his teddy. Mickey was wearing a blue T-shirt with Blue jean pants on, with white socks and little snickers, the kind for every child could wear easily when they don’t know how to tie the shoe laces, or getting all stressed out about it, or even getting upset from hurting themselves for not knowing how to tie them.
As Mr. McCain, Mickey, and I went out of the house a breezy came up to my face, giving me everything that’s going on around me. I know right then that something was off, something which doesn’t feel right, though it’s not the McCain’s who are in trouble, so it must be someone else that I felt who’s also in needed of help from last night, but from where, I don’t know yet and it looks like I’m gone a find out when I get there; while Mr. McCain closed, and locked the door.
Then headed to his car, with a beep the car doors unlock for us so we could get in, I went to the back of the car and opened the trunk so I could put the dirty Laundry in, When Mr. McCain started the car I closed the trunk; headed to the open passenger side door, closing the door, and away we went heading to the Laundry mat.
“Cara. you seem intense, something on your mind honey?” Mr. McCain asked me.
Smiled to him while saying “No dad, why do you ask?”
“well you always discussed everything that’s been going on to me with your friends, your favorite characters from your book that your reading in the Living room I saw right before I was late for work, and all of that, now you’re not doing any of that, are you alright honey, you know I’m here for you if you wanted to talk to me about anything that’s on your mind and I’ll try to help you as much as I can, so tell me. what’s eating you, what’s on your mind tonight?”
I don’t want to give him the wrong idea, I can still feel something is not right, but it’s really, not coming for them so I shouldn’t be worried, yet I am and I won’t be able to know till I come to that bridge till then I smiled to Mr. McCain.
“nothing for you to worry about dad, I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about at less I hope; I promise if I get too worried then I’ll let you know.”
“ok honey; ok, let’s just hope there’s really nothing for you to worried about.”

“So where should we go to have our last dance.”
“Yeah, where are we going, for us to finally get read of our Monster once and for all?”
“Hey, I Know Sam, Matt, we all should go to the top of the hill or in a cemetery, or even at the Beach.”
“Hey not a bad idea Doug. we should go to one of those places.”
“Now Fellas the Cemetery wouldn’t work, sure there would be lots of people there, but they would call the police where we all would go to Jail and it’s the same thing at the hill. Every people would see the black smoke and would call the police and we would still would be going to Jail.
“Now the beach, that’s not a bad idea and we’ll do that the next time when we fine another of those Monsters, but for right now we are heading somewhere else and meet someone who. actually. HAS. THE. DAME. VIDEO CAMERA. you idiots. and (breathy heavenly) I know someone that has just that and the place where he’s working at is not that far from here, and if we’re lucky and have enough time before the sun comes, we will go to the Beach and do just that with this one instead of waiting till we catch the next one.” The Leader of the group bellowed out to his buddies.

“Well, here we are” Mr. McCain told us coming up to the 24/7 Laundry mat, driving in to the parking lot though not that many cars or for that matter, not that many customers this place could hold up to ten maybe even twenty customers for the number of washers and dryers. the people that owns this place and the land all together for a 4,000 to 5,000 sq. ft. of a land which probably cost thousands of dollars for this land and the building together or more.
I got out of the car and that same Bad feeling was still there only this time it’s even more stronger which only means one thing. whatever it is I’m feeling; it’s gone a happened here at this Laundry Mat tonight, but if that feeling is not for the McCain Family who I’m protecting then it’s got a be from someone else who also needed my help. Great (sigh in a piss off mood) this is gone a go down badly I just know it. and this time I know I won’t be able to keep this problem away from Mr. McCain or his son guest the times up. Fine (sighed in an even more pissed off mood and with a mean irritated face).
“I’ll get the Baskets father.” I told him while Heading to the back of the car to get the Laundry baskets for Mr. McCain.
“thank you, Cara. come on Mickey get on inside and wait for us, we’ll be there in a few; so just get warm.” He instructed his son.
“Ok daddy, let’s go in and get warm teddy.” He told his bear, that’s cute for sure (smiling) while watching Mickey getting in the Laundry mat sitting down on one of the chairs. Stacking all three laundry baskets then picking them up out of the trunk of the car.
