I dropped to my feet, shocked at his conclusion. I froze where I stood and waited for the punchline to ensue, but it didn’t. The entire Fae cheered for me and, in unison, bowed. The counselor walked up to me and held his hand to his chest before bowing in front of me as well. “You have shown great respect to the Fae kingdom and showed mercy on your enemies. We are in your debt.” Voss said with actual sincerity. I don’t think I have ever seen such truth in his words.
I bowed back to all of them and they gasped in shock. “Thank you for your patience with our family.
