Illusions of the Abyss

"Can I have a leisurely life in my next...well? After a break from this continuous and endless cycle of just watching in silence while everything that is me rots away and only the soulless body remains". He was of unknown origins, one couldn't comprehend his existence. Unaware of what the universe is like, for he spent all his life on the depths of the Abyss, not knowing his purpose or the reason behind why he was there in the first place. "Ah, another millennia is it... why? I'm no demon nor a god, so why am I all alone in such a place?" Slowly forgetting everything that was once and now no more, even the wish that was once longed so deeply for. "Let me fall into a deep slumber from which I shall never wake and if I ever do, let it be in a different life." Closing his eyes hoping he would never wake up to the same reality which he can't seem to escape from. "Let my breath also slowly fade away with time just like my existence... this may be my greatest desire." As the sound of his words echoes into the dark, softening at a pace by which the clock ticks and after minute had passed, the silence became deafening. Is it over? His sufferings to be precise. The end is never tragic unless one wishes it to be and that won't change. No matter if you lived a life of ruin or prosperity, in the end it all falls upon how you acted. If only it came more easily, this thing we call death. Some wishes for it while some try their best to avoid and even elude it. A faint glow could be seen from his body after all the time that had passed, maybe it has been a year or more? It is very easy to lose track of time in this Abyss. Is he waking up again or is it finally answered? The forgotten wish which once belonged to him. Shall it finally be granted unto him, the life he longed for? The Abyss that is filled with only darkness was lit up completely. It was as if the shadows of many giant beings covered the whole place and was now granting a path for the light to intervene by moving away from the very abyss they guarded. "Forgive us, child... We didn't plan to harm you nor did we decided to wait this long for nothing. It was a choice and in all honesty, we waited this long for you're the very last of us but still, do forgive us for this length of extremity. We hope you can find the value of your own existence and maybe even fulfill your hearts greatest desires. Farewell child" After those words were spoken, the surroundings became void, and suddenly a stream of soft air current flowed through the space and carried away a scent of sadness away after which the Abyss reverted to being the same but he was no longer, his wish was granted. Now it begins, finally a story that may be something note worthy... nothing is predictable, perhaps it may not be what he had wished for.
